Pizza Ninja
Well, this is what happens when you run out of ideas...
That was pretty awesome. The 550D quality just oozes with style...
YAY!!!
A STAN THE LEGO MAN MOVIE!!!
I enjoyed it, The pizza animation was pretty great, and the ninja was cool. Seemed a bit odd though and didn't make sense. It was also pretty predictable because of the title. But I really liked how the camera kept shaking with all of those sound effects near the end. xD
Though, I didn't really like the voice of the guy in the hat.
Pretty good! Love the part where he got scared. Really good sound effects.
Congrats on getting the T2i! The video was great!!
The animation and quality was awesome.
But I did not really understand the story.
I really enjoyed that Stan, your videos always have great quality and superb animation.
I SAW THIS FIRST NO ONE ELSE CAN CLAIM THIS IT WAS A SECRET FROM STAN.
Sorry, just had to get that out of my system. Anyway, loved it Stan, especially the animation of the pizza rolling and the guy running behind the bench.
I really like this one. It kinda makes no sense, but I love those type of films. The part where the guy freaks out and cartooning...ly jumps away was PURE awesome. The animation was spot-on, and I loved the background design.
OMG epicness!
Excellent voice acting by the way.
Haha, funny. And on the technical side of things, very nice.
I've now watched this probably 7 times. xD
I've really been loving it.
And if you need good ideas for brickfilms, I've got loads of them.
And I'd love to voice act for you if given the opportunity.
Pretty dang spic-an'-span.
I enjoyed this short. As you've run out of ideas and have no explanation for the movie and we're also NOT to understand it: I've written some thoughts down. Spoilers beyond. (That means watch the movie first THEN read below.)
I assumed from the title that we would be seeing a "pizza" ninja, or a personified pizza, kicking butt. What we do see is a ninja using a pizza to distract and cover his entrance. He is so good at doing this I didn't see him at all. The squishy sound effects lead me to believe the pizza is fresh. What a waste of food! To top it all off (pun intended) the ninja uses the pizza as a weapon which shows just how deadly these highly skilled warriors are. My fault with the film is if your pizza is fresh (glurp splat) why does it so readily dispatch a minifigure? In my own findings, a pizza has to be at least a week old to do damage. This pizza SHOULD have splattered on impact causing burns and mild hysteria.
A few things I noticed in the short:
The awesome:
Very fluid animation. Your cartoon-ish vibe works well in this setting. I especially like the "dunh dunh dunh" while the man raises his head from behind the picnic table. Did you affix bricks at varying heights to do this effect or was it more complicated than that? I haven't seen the zigzag mouth on a minifig like that-was that digitally done? It reminds me of the Peanuts cartoon.
I liked the voice for the "blue shirt guy." Laid back dialogue coupled with the sweatshirt/hat build- a winning combination. There's something to be said when you breathe life into these tiny hunks of plastic.
Things I noticed that were less than awesome:
Continuity-
1. The pizza is on top of the studs after the roll and for the next few cuts, then it is attached right before it rises.
2. Your timing for laughs is very good. Knowing when to change the face from startled/afraid, perplexed and back to normal is a gift you've been given. Now you need to take that gift and add a beard. (Or some sort of animation showing the loss of hair.)
3. Set bumps-grass moves a bit while man hides behind table
Don't let this guy kid you. Ideas or no, this short is a fun watch.
