Entrants for this contest are asked to tell a story rooted in history. Entries may be based on actual events, or simply include historical settings, people, and/or events as central elements of the story.
The definition of history says:
A continuous, systematic narrative of past events as relating to a particular people, country, period, person, etc., usually written as a chronological account; chronicle.
In short, it could take place at any time point, so long as the majority of the story takes place in the past.
Quite literally every possible question to this contest is answered either in the first page or one or two after.
Turns out I am not making a TOY entry.

I've got just over 2 minutes done now. A second over actually.
This really looks hard for me now. I can hammer it at the weekends, but I don't get time for animating after school. It's not like I'm having any problems, it looks great so far, just I've only just started, there's still a lot to go.
Don't expect me to get this in on time. There's still a chance, but whether it's done in time or not for this competition I'll still finish it. I'm really looking forward to seeing the other entries, especially JP's, Jargon's, Robrick's, and Golden (if he's still entering, not sure). Good luck to anyone else entering.
In the privete message, am I supposed to say my real name, or my nickname?
Hey guys, I'm a newbie... But, anyways, could this include religous happenings? Could I base it off of a story in the bible? I'm sorry if this has already been answered in the past.

The Bible contains historical events. So it would be acceptable.
However, some non-believers might question it's realism, and try to have it disqualified. ![]()
But, they can't prove it, so why not? ![]()

It's not necessary to have your film believable, the rules state that it must have a historical theme, but it doesn't have to be 'proper' history.
I just submitted my entry! Now I just wait.

Cool.
What is it?
It's a mystery film based on the 'Philadelphia Experiment'. Take a look at the Update Thread.

I might still enter this.
Good luck with that. You have... what, a few weeks? Zombie: Genesis was an exceptional case; however, I still wish you the best of luck.
EDIT: I'm sure I typed 'Genesis'. The odd letter I may miss out, but an entire word?...

I have a script that I'd like to be able to make in the next two weeks. I haven't done stop-mo in a long time, so hopefully I can enter this.
