It's just that on Singleplayer, I tried the duplication glitch and it worked. I deleted the world file so I don't have like 128 iron blocks, I don't want to get banned or something.
No, unless you ban yourself.
Oh, no no no. You don't get banned from Minecraft for cheating. In fact, Notch encourages people to make mods and manipulate the game.
If it's a glitch, you're just using it to your advantage, like the ladder glitch before 1.5. Plus, people use INVedit all the time to get items they want.
How/why would you get banned? If Mojang was against things where you could 'cheat', they wouldn't allow mods like TooManyItems (where you can spawn anything you want in single player) to be made, would they?

Yes you are, but I think it is more fun to not use glitches.
Thats why I deleted the world I tested the glitch on.
So should we expect the server to be back up tomorrow?
That's the plan, but I don't know if Servercraft will implement the changes in time before the weekend , and I don't know if they work during the weekend and I can't do anything else today until I get home from work.
What can I say. I'm hooked.

I'm home for the week and I dont have my computer so I didn't think I'd be able to play on MC on this crappy computer.
Turns out I can, JUST. Its the slowest computer known to man.

I love my new world, I found a pink sheep. I'll post pics later, I've shaved the sheep but still got the pink wool.
I need more rail on single, It's really hard finding iron. Should I feel bad if I use dup glitch for rail?
I tried logging in today, and for a strange reason, it says I am not whitelisted anymore? Is there any reason for this or is it just the upgrade in the tier for servercraft?

You happened to try to join during the five minute window that my server was back online but with no whitelist. Even I couldn't log in. Then I had to shut the server down again to fix a few things.
Anyway, NOW the server is back online, and upgraded. It's now running on Tier 2, with a recommended player amount of 1-8. Therefore, I have lowered my cap from 10 players to 8 players. I don't want to risk getting any more errors or freezes.
The server is online but there are no protection plugins installed, so if creepers creep (or, Notch help us, griefers grief) we can't roll it back at the moment. However, the server IS whitelisted, so any griefing would have to be done by a player that I have put my trust in.
The plugins should return in a day or two, once I know the server is stable. If you were playing during the last few hours the server was online but freaking out, you may find your work was rolled back a bit. I've restored the server to how it was on June 23 right before I took it offline, but I can't be sure if some progress was lost. And if it was, I apologize.
Sorry for filling up this thread with posts about my server. I'll try to keep it to a bare minimum.

It's your conscience, not ours. But if you're going to do that, you might as well go all the way and just install Too Many Items, instead of dancing around the issue with glitch exploitation.
What do you mean by conscience?
