Which one do you think is better?

Re: Running test

In terms of speed, the 3 frame one.

Re: Running test

I don't know... They both didn't have the minifig moving one stud every frame.
Here's a tutorial for the best 15 fps run cycle I've seen:

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Running test

I prefer the 4 frame one.

Re: Running test

4 Frames looks more natural to me.

Re: Running test

4 frames looked like a smooth, controlled run, as if running a race. 3 frames is slightly more messy, which makes it look more like the character is being chased and is trying to get away. They're both good, just for different situations.

4 Frame

Re: Running test

The 4 frame one just looks like he's running, and for some reason the 3 frame one looks like he's being chased by something.

Re: Running test

He needs to take bigger strides. I think that Fancypants tutorial (Minifig's link) gives a good illusion of that. Doesn't look to bad.
