Brightness - 5,299
Contrast - 2,090
Saturation - 896
Sharpness - 10,000
White Balance - 1,343
Focus - What ever you need for your scene.

As your in Hawaii, I'd use NTSC. Get rid of Automatic Gain Control or Rightlight. Everything should be on manual.

This is what I do in the settings that are in MonkeyJam by going into Camera Dialogs then Device.
Through the Webcam Software ... I don't really know lol

Hope this helped mini/smile

Re: Café Corner

Thank you everybody. I mostly just have all the settings on default, but I turned off all auto like features. You should be seeing a lot of tests and animations from me soon. mini/bigsmile Thanks to Sean for his cradle design and Rsteevnoven for his enlightening tutorials. I hope to be as good as many of you someday.

If that's really how badly water in your ear hurts, an ear infection must be definitely fatal.

Re: Café Corner

Depends how deep it's gotten, I think. It must be pretty deep if it "hurts like hell".

Portal 1 or 2?  I got Portal 1 for like ten bucks because they were having a sale weekend for it last year.  Maybe there's still something like that going around?  (prob'ly not, but aim for the stars)

Oh damn. My new Name that Frame thread got closed. Ah well, t'was a pretty dumbass idea opening it.

In other news, I've finally got my animating set-up cleaned, and a few sets built, so I'm sure I'll have a few animations out soon. [/yay]

Cat Memes/Jokes are old news, I know, but I couldn't resist given the conversation topic.

People actually used to think that knowledge was the devil stuff.

Just know that it was a saucey comment on the church during the feudal ages.  Take that for what you will.

Re: Café Corner

Well: some people back then thought Shakespeare was the work of Beelzebub (that is such a cooler name than 'Satan'). I mean - this is coming from a time when people believed in Witches, stupid holy cures that never worked, and that bathing once a year was far more healthy than bathing once a day (and they were so shocked at all the plagues. It seems so obvious now...)

I dont know how, but somehow the churches matured. Perhaps they realised that the Bible said nothing about Witches/knowledge/Shakespeare, or just decided that it was really stupid and irrational...

As an Antitheist myself, I know exactly what you want to say.

Re: Café Corner

I'm going to go off-topic for a minute to address a phenomena that we've always had something of a problem with, but that has been slightly more prevalent in the last few weeks.

"IN BEFORE THE LOCK HERP DE DURR"
"IN BEFORE IT"
"I'M IN BEFORR THE LOCK"
"LOCK DIS THREAD LOCK IT"
"LUL UR THREAD'S GONNA GET LOCKED ROLFL"

I think you folks can imagine how annoying that is. Particularly when, as a moderator, you don't have any plans to lock a thread. Posting IBTL images and messages is spamming. If you think a thread deserves a lock, report it and say something like, "Hey, I don't think we really need this thread. Maybe you good chaps could check it out? Love, your neighborhood friendly forum member."

(You don't have to be quite as light footed as that, but the point is that getting a report with "You will lock this for all these reasons I came up with!" is, while better than utterly destroying a thread, still irritating.)

It would be great if people would stop insisting that we lock certain threads. The moderators have the final say as to what posts are reasonable. It's fine to challenge that, but do so in a way that doesn't potentially derail a perfectly good thread. It's really a pretty isolated group at present, but I don't want this to spread out of control. Thanks.
