I never really understood the concept of the node editor.
Whenever I tried to make a glow, it just blurred out the whole render.

That's because for it to glow, you need to composite it back into the original shot 
.

The asteroid did have a texture, but it didn't render for some reason.

Here's my entry! 
I took a picture of an actual pencil to create the lettering on the side.
NICE!!! But the tip on the front looks a little messed up... but otherwise fantastic!
That is my favorite brand of pencil. Great job!
My math teacher loves Ticonderogas so much. She goes crazy if she doesn't have one.
