Topic: Arrows

I'm planning to make a medieval brickfilm and for that I need to make some realistic arrows flying and hitting things.
The more arrows in one shot, the better, as it were.
Does somebody has a convincing looking technique to do that in (post-)production?
I prefere to do it in production, but I have no idea how to do this.

Thanks you in advance!

Re: Arrows

CGI might work.
I'll model an arrow in Blender 3D, and I'll post a picture of it here.

Re: Arrows

Or you could make LEGO or stick arrows and mask them. But that would take forever.

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Arrows

Here are my CGI arrows.
With Motion blur
Without motion blur

Making them was quite simple:
I used the LDraw import script to bring the bow and arrow into Blender, then I removed the actual bow.
Next, I separated the the parts of the arrow,(Head, Shaft and Feathers) and textured them individually.
From there, I made a simple animation of the arrow flying, added a motion blur with eight samples and rendered them out.

Re: Arrows

I've cut the strings off my crossbow so that I can animate them as well, if you have that done and a even 'semi' realistic arrow it'd be awesome
