Topic: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

I hope that I'm putting this in the right forum...

This is the thread to post and discuss your digital Lego creations, and to discuss the program (Lego Digital Designer) itself.

I'll start this thread off with one of my latest models.

I am currently working on Lego Furniture so I started out with a couch:

Using the same style, I made an armchair:

They are very simple models, but they look great in an indoor set.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

I made furniture similar to that in real life. On mine, the backs were lower, they are 4 studs deep, the place where the minifigs sit is completely studded, and the sides are studded.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

I put studs only at the back part of the furniture so when a minifig is put onto it, the model will still look smooth. mini/smile

What's wrong with studs? I like studs. It gives it that Lego feel.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

I like studs too! I was just trying out a different style. mini/smile

Ok, here's my latest model.

A grand piano:

I found some instructions, but I made a lot of changes so it would come together correctly.

I also have been working on making outdoor scenes, so I tried my hand at some old ruins:

Nice piano! Although I think that the ruins should have more of a variety of plants comering them.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

I went on an LDD spree a while back, so here's what I came up with: imgur album.

Just a quick question, Is there a site where I can upload a file without making an account so people can download it?

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

Is it legal to give the LDD file to others and then they can buy it?  Because I'm really liking some of these sets!

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

Don't buy anything off of LDD! They grealty overcharge you! I once checked the price for a 1 by 8 plate. It was $10! Bricklink sells the same piece for less than $1!

But if you really want to buy it (or someone else to buy it), then you can just post it on the LDD gallery at Lego.com (needs account), and I think other people can buy it there.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

Minifig051... unfortunately LDD has a charge of $10 no matter what you get.  You could get a stud and it would cost $10.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

Oh. $10 must be thier minimum price. Anyway, I just downloaded LDD (I used to have it, but when my hard drive got replaced it was gone) and whenever I scroll down in the pallate, the whole program closes on me! I have no idea what's causing the problem! Can anyone help me?! Nevermind, it's fixed now.

Yes, of course it's legal. You just need to get the file somehow, such as off of the LDD gallery on the LEGO website. Search for my username, "Dhizmoraxe," if you want to find mine.

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread

I have a few LDD sets.  If you want to see them, look up "Ehlek333" in the gallery on the the link that UniLego provided.  I don't feel like going through all the trouble of downloading them to a hosting site.

Here's a little something I built:
http://universe.lego.com/en-us/community/creationlab/GetMedia.aspx?id=5a705fcd-240c-4dbc-97dd-67bcfbac9863
I call it the L.M.S. Wumbo, uses Wumbo technology. xD Took me a while to build. It was based off of Star Trek ships.
And here's warp drive!

Re: Lego Digital Designer (LDD) Model Thread
