Actually its a DSLR with the capability of video.  Not technically a video camera (though it is great for video).

Thanks for all the feedback guys. mini/bigsmile
I don't think i'll get a DSLR because my budget is for the software as well.
so i'm going to get the LOGITECH  C910 just not sure if i'll get a Mac with bootcamp or a Windows laptop or desktop.

Re: Is this any good?

Can i make a movie on a Windows desktop then put it on a USB stick and then put it on a Mac to upload to youtube.

Re: Is this any good?

Sure, although it would be easier to do it directly from the PC.

and Would that it be able to run after effects and programs like that.

Thanks.

Re: Is this any good?

It's OK I guess.
I would get at least a Core 2 duo though.
In fact get an AMD processor as they are better value for money.
Also build it your self to reduce costs.

Re: Is this any good?

Can you not just get this? I think this is the one that some people use isn't it? It's mac compatible and HD!  I don't know about manual settings which is obviously a big deal. I'm sure someone on here uses it. Anyway, if it has manual settings, get it and get FramebyFrame for free. That's saving you a lot of money and still a decent set up. iMovie is pretty good anyway. mini/smile
EDIT: Woops, didn't read that you've changed your mind. But I'm going to leave my post above just in case you decide otherwise. mini/smile

Re: Is this any good?

I used to use the C910, but it DOES NOT have manual focus on the mac.

I'm not really a techy guy so i wouldn't know what to buy also where do you buy from?
and how much cheaper would it be.

Sorry I'm a newbie, but don't you want manual focus for brick filming not auto focus?

Re: Is this any good?

Do you really think the computer is okay? I mean it does have enough things you probably need but I think that you need more Mac - I really think it's better to take the frames on Windows desktop with LQWP9000 or whatever webcam you wanna buy and edit it, upload it and everything else on Mac...

Just my opinion mini/smile
