Re: HD Export

The frame should be changed in size and proportions, the video itself, exactly the same.

*Shrug*. I guess that you wouldn't have to change it in the export, if you did.

Re: HD Export

What video? You removed it.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: HD Export

Yeah it was bad. I filmed in 1280x270 and it is still stretched! Why is that? I'm just gonna go back to my old video width!

Re: HD Export

You're not supposed to change any attributes of the video file itself. Just the frame that you put the video in on your piece of software.

Quality Words of Advice [/sarcasm]

On Topic, Maybe don't save it as 16:9 , like I did in this video that was shot at 1236x1024. and avi format...

Re: HD Export

You seem to be in a bit of a pickle.  Since you took down the test video's, i'm at a loss for the exact problem, but it is most likely your exporting specs.  If the video looks fine when editing, ie not stretched, then it is almost for sure that you are exporting wrong, possibly into 4:3 from a widescreen, which would squeeze the image.  I would recommend looking through these articles to try and help solve the problem.

Re: HD Export

This is how I make my movies HD.

1. Capture frames in MonkeyJam at 800x600.
2. Export as .avi
3. I used this tutorial but don't watch after 2:13.
4. Open your editing program.
5. Import the video and now export it as Quicktime or WMV.

A good idea is to edit in 800x600 and then render the whole project as .avi then you can make the whole video HD fast.  Just remember to export it as Quicktime or WMV in your editing program because the VirtualDub file will come out huge.

Does this look stretched? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2H1_OaJ3es

I made the frame 1600x1200 and exported the film at 1280x720. What do you think?

Re: HD Export

Yes, you still have the horrible distortion. If you're really struggling to export it, add yt:stretch=4:3 to the tags of your video and it'll fix your problem.

Re: HD Export

Don't question it, just go and try it and see if I'm lying.

EDIT: Wait. If the video you uploaded is 4:3 and you want it to be 16:9, add yt:crop=16:9 instead.
