Re: HD Export

Again, no. Add both yt:stretch=4:3 and yt:crop=16:9 to the tags.

This is how I make my movies HD.

1. Capture frames in MonkeyJam at 800x600.

This is not HD.

Film at 1600x1200 then crop the height to 900 in virutal dub.
Then import the clips into your editor and edit them. When you export just export it as is.

That is 720p HD.
(This assumes you use the QCP9000, but you can probably do it with whatever camera you have.)

Re: HD Export

Adding yt:crop=16:9 to any video in 4:3 will turn it into a widescreen video.

Re: HD Export

Yeah but it crops out parts of the film. What can I do about that and it messes with the quality. What should I do with that?

Re: HD Export

Ok guys. Could it do anything to my reputation or contest chances by not having a full screen movie?

Re: HD Export

It looks a hell of a lot better 16:9 than 4:3, but if it is too hard for you to understand, it wouldn't be necessary.

Re: HD Export

No it's not that i don't understand it's just that it won't upload in fullscreen even if I export my video at 1280x720!

Re: HD Export

Don't mix up fullscreen and widescreen.
Fullscreen = 4:3
Widescreen = 16:9

Just refer to them with their aspect ratios from now on. You might be a bit less confused.

Re: HD Export

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE4KRCVgPXU I fixed it!!!!!

BTW Does the white balance or coloring not seem right? I used Helium Frog for the first time and I wonder if the light coloring happens when you film.

Re: HD Export

Ah, so you didn't really fix the problem. You just used a different software.

Re: HD Export

Oh I think I see our problem Eddie, you were originally shooting at a 4:3 resolution (800x600 or 1600x1200) but instead of cropping it to 1280x720, you were simply resizing it, which still gave the black bars at the side. But since you were shooting at a 16:9 resolution (1280x720) It won't give the black bars at the sides. Good job on making it work finally.

Re: HD Export

I don't use monkeyjam too much, so I use the Debut Video Capture Program.  It's really good although it quite slow at time.  Also It's free.
