Re: Lego Egypt Film
Guys, let's stop creating theories about a DVD, and talk about the film yet-to-be-released.

I might just add though that I would definitely consider buying a dvd from all the way over here in Belgium... if there is an audio commentary track by famous Russian director Boris Krikotov.
I just saw your film reel on youtube, your doing great. I can see you working for aardman or something one day.
I love the falling celling, very creative. I love adventure films, I'm currently scripting for one myself, so I'm looking forward to seeing the finished film, its good to see that you've kept at it, a lot of hard work has gone into this, so well done.

That would actually pretty cool, even as a featurette on YouTube/Vimeo. What would be interesting would be fake interviews with the characters and fake doccumentary footage =P
Looking forward to this, Spencer. You've been feeding us jewels for quite some time, now, and the treasure is finally coming.
Any help you need with foley, sound work in general, visual effects or editing, I would love to help.
Why buy the DVD...? Here's a good reason.
Because he's spent the best part of a year (Longer actually) working on this, using the smallest increments possible to make for the smoothest animation. Not only that, but he's been doing it whilst he's in college, something that everyone knows is near impossible. So by buying the DVD you're basically giving him money for his efforts, and in-return getting a fabulous movie, most likely with behind the scenes, etc. to watch on your television. And besides, what else would you buy with it...?
Although I must saying adding it to the BiM store would be unnecessary, as it would single out that film over all others, and while it might be better, it'd technically be seen as favoring, which I'm sure Smeagol has no intention of doing.
I understand that this will be a great brickfilm, but at the same time...I don't think he is doing this for the money. Brickfilming is a hobby, and if there is one thing I learned here its we all create works of art to share with each other for free, we all help each other out. We do this because we love the work, the enjoyment, he reactions we get. I don't think buying copies of D VD's would do any justice.

The purchase of the DVD would be a reward to the artist. It's not like the film becomes a whore if you're paying for it.
It would still be available online. Take the example of RyanVsDorkman.com
I bought the DVD out of respect and for the extra stuff and 4 hour extra content, but you can watch both duels online.
I am freaked out! I can't wait! ![]()
Whoever said that this "isn't going to be the best brickfilm(. PERIOD.)" doesn't really realise how very much potential this movie has! It's soooo cinematic!
Picture quality and animation are amazing. Sometimes I just can't stand all the very good brickfilms shot at such low resolution that you can't even watch them full screen.
I think this is going to be great! ![]()
I know this is going to be great!
agree.
Looks really interesting. I look forward to seeing it ![]()
Have you got a solid name for the film yet?
I mean, a name other than "Lego Egypt Film".
Egyptian Holiday.
Mobiledeli finally made a post in this thread. HUZZAH!!
Interesting title, can't wait to see it on YouTube *cough*nodvd*cough*

Nice title, Mobile. Any idea what genre it'd fall under? I'm guessing comedy/adventure, but I couldn't be sure. And Living LEGO, he said he'd be releasing it on Vimeo, YouTube, and DVD. And while I can understand why you want to see it for free, on whatever video sharing site, that's no reason for him not to release on DVD as well.
