if it still had friction it could drop slowly and as the movie progresses it could speed up, and at the end it could be in free fall.
Well this is some flipping high elevator...
Love the idea, but the problem is, from what I can gather from this, you'd need to be in the furthest reaches of the stratosphere to fall for 4 minutes..
I was thinking it would be an under and above ground community tower. The lower stories would a very ghetto area, and the higher areas would be for the people with class. And money, but mostly money. It would go way underground too, but of course, not too close to the core.
and have a constant grinding or falling sound....

If I actually do this (there's a 45% chance I won't), I'll have the elevator sequences be filmed like it was surveillance footage. It wouldn't just be the falling, either. It would be a tour of the building in the beginning. And at the end...well, I'll keep that a surprise. Hehe...

The elevator crashes through the base of the tower and the occupants are burned alive in the Earth's core. The assassin gets away unharmed and undiscovered. Just like real life... 
Alternatively, you could set the elevator on another planet, where the sky is several times the height of our Earth's.
Oh come on, I'm not THAT dark.
There's a period of time between the elevator getting stuck and it actually falling, which makes a rescue more possible.
I'm going to make a production thread of this soon.
Well the fall could be possible on Earth, if I am correct it takes about 8 minutes for the space shuttle to pass trhough the Earth's atmosphere to the surface, and thats not even a freefall.

Hello! Im very,very new to this forum, anyway heres my story idea on witch im gonna make a script today/tomorrow:
3 men are robbing a bank,they escape whit lots of money,FBI starts to look for them,they are almoust caught at the mall,hostage situation appears, and im too lazy to type the rest:) 
, also im thinking of turning this film into a start for a bigger series.

rightio, this is just an idea. I've done no planning yet so feel free to tell me if you think it's not such a good idea or if you have an idea or tip.
Anyone familiar with the video game 'Hitman 2: Silent Assassin'? it's like my favourite game and i thought, just maybe, i could make a lego film about it.
Of course the main character would be agent 47 and would follow the complete storyline of the game. I may have to adapt the sets for the movie a bit to cope with lack of pieces (imagine the amount of pieces you'd need!) but it'd be almost exactly the same.
I reckon it'd be the definition of cool if i could do it. btw, nobody takee my idea please. That'd make me go into 'lethal mode'.

Actually, scrap that. following an already made storyline can be awkward. Instead, I will do something similar, like a retired mercenary or hitman or something that worked for the government, but he retired 5 years ago, but now they want him back.
He was the elite assassin, the top of his game, but retired so that he could go back to living the way he did before he was a mecenary. Now he is in popular demand by the U.N, but he will only make the deal if there's something in it for him. if he completes his assignment he will be given a different identity as well as a place to live in peace, free from any calls from government organisations who would like to make use of his extreme talent. He accepts, as this is what he has been searching for since he retired. Little does he know that his assignment is about to become more personal than he ever could have imagined...
That's all i've got at the moment. Waddaya reckon?;)
