ARR you ready for some swashbuckling Pirate action?

A rather long pirate adventure, about them, some British guys, and ninjas fighting over a chest of treasure. It's a little slow around the beginning and some other parts. But please don't stop watching! It has some pretty awesome battle scenes and I even managed to pull off a slow motion shot! mini/bigsmile
Enjoy!

Hehe, "The following film has been rated: Arr!".
This is really great, by the way. Nice stuff, one of the best brickfilms I've seen in a while.

Re: Pirates Rule!

Sweet... Your film reminded me the old Lego movies.

I loved the squid animation. It's an instant classic! mini/bigsmile

Well done! I especially enjoyed the animation with the boats on water and the ninjas jumping. Nice jokes too!

Great! mini/bigsmile I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I'm currently making a new movie which may be out in Summer with better animation. (Although shorter) But it's still going to be pretty funny. : )

Re: Pirates Rule!

That was pretty good! The only things that I didn't like were the excessive arm movement when the characters were talking and the footstep noises were a little...well...annoying. Also, how did you make the alien voices?

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Pirates Rule!

That was well made. I liked the storyline too. It was funny mini/XD
The arrival of the aliens near the end was a hilarious touch
I also like how you kept the boats constantly rocking in the water throughout the video
Was the "I want a pony!" scene a reference to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by any chance?

Re: Pirates Rule!

There are actually a load of things where stuff like that happens. I can't think of any good examples at the moment, but it did remind me of that scene a lot. xD

Yeah, I've been a little bit mad with my gestures. :P
Really? Well, it is ANNOYING Noises Productions, isn't it? xD Haha, sorry. I guess they are a bit loud and repetitive. It's actually the sound of a minifig stepping on a board.
The Alien voices were done by me just speaking gibberish in a funny voice, then I did some modulation in my editing software. I had it so each voice was played in three different tracks, and I shifted the pitch of each of them uniquely for each track, which gives them the odd voices. I also made the modulation for each character's voice different from the others.

Re: Pirates Rule!

This was really fantastic!  Very imaginative gags, and well designed sets.  Squid ruled, loved the rocking boats, good pacing!  I would lose the footsteps or drop them to less than half the volume they are now.  Again though, great work!

Re: Pirates Rule!

Good movie! Awesome sets!

Re: Pirates Rule!

I hate to be a party pooper, but I wasn't a big fan of this film. Sure, some aspects of it were good, but from a visual standpoint, it really left a lot more to be desired. For starters, the animation was average. The movements were often pretty choppy, and they didn't model realistic movements. (I'm not saying that we do this though. mini/tongue ) I also think that the cinematography was really poor. No offense, but the shots and the lighting could have used some work. All in all, this still was a good film. I wouldn't say classic, but certainly a film that will not be forgotten for long. This is probably better than anything that we can make, so I congratulate you! mini/wink
