Topic: Speech Bubble (Motion Tracked) And Facial Animation Test Compilation

This is what we have so far for our upcoming film, "The Ratcatcher."

The footage is final (but can be redone), but the audio is not.

We used a few techniques that are worth taking a look at.

First, we chroma keyed the background in the middle scene. Then, in order to keep continuity, we color matched each shot. Then we added the speech bubbles and faces. Some facial animation was achieved digitally, some was done through head replacement. See if you can guess which ones.

Any comments/feedback would be highly appreciated. mini/smile

I used Inkscape to design them in high resolution, Gimp to save them the way I like, Sony Vegas Pro to add motion (blinking) and change the eyebrow color, and I also used Sony Vegas to put them on the faces where they belong.

I'll be putting up a tutorial up soon hopefully.
