Re: The Animation Challenge
Considering the poor turnout thus far, I guess I can extend it a couple more weeks if that is what everyone wants.
If people are agreed, the new deadline is March 25th, 2011.

Yes, I think im going to make another one. March 25 will be plenty of time to complete it.

Well, mine was like 28 seconds of stop motion. I'm just going to animate one more bit of free running, and then add it to my video, and upload a new one. Thanks for extending the due date! ![]()
Yeah, that would be loads better for me, and probably a lot of others too. Cheers BL. ![]()
Going to make another entry. Mine was a failed one ![]()
I haven't made a new entry, I've just added stuff to the old one.

I'm starting to think I can do this after I executed a near perfect flip. ![]()
Just a suggestion to anyone entering: if you feature slow-mo in a part of your entry, it might be cooler.
I'm looking forward to your entry unilego, after that. I've only just done my first bit of masking, so I'm hoping this will turn out well.
Also I plan to do slow motion in my entry. ![]()

If it's used correctly and in the right position, then it might be cooler. I don't know about this; we might enter, but it all depends on when (Or if) we get a new computer by that time. I wish the contest had stayed at it's original due date.
I might be able to pull something off over spring break, if I put my mind to it.
I'll try and make something.
(I'm thankful for the extension of deadline, because I had totally forgot about this...)
Hmm, theres a problem with mine. I don't think I'm going to get it in on time, even with the time extension. Looks like I'm going to have to sit this one out.
But I am going to finish it, its just probably not going to get done in time to be entered, asking for another time extension would be a bit rude after all the extra time we've had, so I'm not going to ask.
Good luck everyone! ![]()
what happened to this thread?
i really hate to say this, but honestly, i think the weekly system worked a lot better than this thing where it's a big contest. 'cuz people are intimidated by such an ambitious animation feat. plus, there's no actual prize, so people don't think it's worth it to do it, so nobody enters, so the thread is dead
...just my opinion-ish ![]()
Stan the first challenge on this was about 2 months long and brought us on of the greatest brickfilms of all time and free running is the best challenge I have seen yet. After this is done we will have the week long plan going I think. So don't be too bothered. This is basically the test animations contest thread so it really doesn't matter. Anyways it will liven up when the results are in.
