If you have seen my "Logo Test" you'll know that it's pretty bad. darkman13forever said I could make it Sony Vegas, but I don't know how. I can't find a tutorial. Anyone here know how I could achieve this?
Thanks,

Use the effect "Lens Flare" in Sony Vegas.

Congratulations on trolling, Pillow. The thread wasn't going to win any awards, but still...
The fact that you also wrote about Bill throwing up into Jenny's mouth won't have helped either.

Guess who made Jenny up. mini/shifty

Re: Café Corner

I'm actually glad the thread closed because It continued to be less and less funny and the first story was the only one I actually lol'd at.

Re: Café Corner

Yeah, I mean I loved that thread at first, but then it just got to the point where if we got to make a movie about it, then people would hate it. It was really fun to be a part of it though.

Also, I'm making a countdown video for my youth group, where it counts down from 3:00, and the youth group mascot dances around. I am using a wall with the numbers in it, so every 15 frames I have to change the number. I make alot of films for my youth group, and my youth pastor thinks I'm like a protegy or something. mini/cat I can tell he hasn't seen any other brickfilms other than mine.

Re: Café Corner

I think the thread got closed mainly because its unessecary (the same reason the Coffee Shop is gone, it must have been full of threads like that). I don't think the spontaneous combusting or fart "jokes" helped either.

EDIT: Actually, I was wrong. It was closed because it was getting stupid.

Hello BiM! Not making a comeback but may surf the forums time to time

Re: Café Corner

It was not my idea to lock the thread; I try to avoid looking like I'm deliberately killing fun.  But a few moderators had complained to me about it, and within the first few pages there were people complaining that it'd gotten stupid and should be locked.  It seems unfortunate to me that a goofy thread like that can inspire lots of posts in a short period of time, but an interesting discussion in one of the production forums would not.

Re: Café Corner

1st few pages? Are you kidding me. With all due respect, your mods need to grow up, but first they need to get their heads out their behinds. I can understand after the first story, because it did go down hill and the joke was over and it got silly. But it was still fun, but it was best to end it there before the fun ran out. But I'm very annoyed at people assuming such an idea will be a waste of time - clearly it wasn't. It was best thing I've done and I really enjoyed it. But I've got no queries with you Smeagol - you're ok.

Re: Café Corner

No, I'm talking about people in the thread saying it should be locked, within the first few pages.  Not the moderators, they tolerated it for a good long while first.

I don't think people piling on a new sentence with each post is really a worthwhile attempt at storytelling.  I'm all for threads that are based around seriously trying to create a story or improve writing ability, but I don't think that it was such a thread.

Oh I see. I apologize. But we proved them (those people) wrong! mini/bigsmile it was creative, collaborative and brought some of the community together

Re: Café Corner

The thread was OK, Pillow just decided to ruin it.

Or maybe he foresaw what it could become and decided to end it before it's reputation was tarnished.

Or maybe he was just being a killjoy.

Re: Café Corner

Pillow was being funny and cool, LIKE HE ALWAYS IS.

No harm in damaging a thread that was ruined from the start.

Re: Café Corner

It wasn't ruined from the start, it was a very good idea. People just got carried away with farting and combusting.

Such as I:

And then wasn't watching his step and fell in a deep dark whole leading to heck.

And then wasn't watching his step and fell in a deep dark whole leading to heck.

So he started to walk towards it and didn't watch his step; he then fell in a deep dark hole to heck.

Who then didn't watched his foot, and fell in a deep dark hole leading to Satan's bedroom, meanwhile, he brought Bill with him...

But since LegOpinions didn't know the land, he fell into a deep dark hole leading to heck.

I'll admit, I did add onto the reason for the thread being closed, but I will say this too: after the first couple of pages, it got a little out of hand. It was good while it lasted. Just be thankful it wasn't deleted off the forums so we can't look back onto the memories.

Re: Café Corner

Such games are fun when played with the right people.

Re: Café Corner

With all due respect, your mods need to grow up, but first they need to get their heads out their behinds.

Good point, the mods were definitely the ones filling a thread with nonsensical ramblings that failed to form any sort of cohesive story, and much of the time didn't even satisfy basic rules of English grammar.

I'll save you the time it would take to type the response to this by saying that while fun is good and great, it would be nice if people would consider that this is a film-making site. To call something like that thread collaborative or building a fine sense of community might be a good indicator of why people get frustrated with this community and its tastes. The thread was filled ten pages with scatological humor, the constant killing of the main character, and half of the people fighting to reverse what the previous posters did. Meanwhile the forums devoted to helping people learn to make brickfilms are left largely neglected. If the community is devoted to creating and helping others create films, a pathetic thread like that does nothing to help the people be more creative, unless you consider creativity avoiding every obstacle in the way of telling a story and making use of constant deus ex machina. It wasn't collaborative, unless the definition of collaboration somehow involves people making vaguely tangential posts in the same thread. As for bringing the community together, unless you wanted a community whose main goal is to create silly stories, what's the point of bringing them together to do just that?

It's not like we killed the thread at it's inception. Believe me, the thought certainly crossed my mind, and likely the minds of other mods who have, like me, seen threads go exactly the same way this one did. We didn't close it. We could have, but we didn't, because: first, we knew someone would throw a fit, and second, we thought maybe it would be nice to see if the community could come together and make that thread into something worth having on the site. We gave it a chance. Of course, your post is jumbled enough I can't really understand what you are mad about to begin with. You seem to think that because it went decently for the first few pages, the mods are pricks for closing it when it turned to utter tripe. You insult the mods and then immediately agree with what they did. That makes no sense at all, but it should be apparent by now that I'm not happy to see it. We work hard to try to keep you people from cluttering the site with things like that for a reason. We aren't here to give you jollies; we're here to make sure the site continues to be the best resource for budding brickfilmers to learn the hobby. Things like this distract from that purpose, and so we close them.

I didn't call for the thread to be closed. I didn't close it. Nonetheless, I agree with the decision wholeheartedly, and I get really tired of listening to people whine about how whatever special interests they have are being killed by the moderators. We don't just do this stuff because we like to hear the complaints. We don't want to be killjoys. There are more important matters in the grand scheme of things than a nonsensical story thread, and we're going to do what we think it takes to promote the betterment of the hobby. Take it or leave it.
