Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film
I don't like the CGI Brickfilms, but this frame looks pretty good.

The faces look a little distorted, though. I think you need to move the eyes and mouth closer together.

The lighting is a bit strange, it does look like it came from a lamp with a piece of paper over it. Some more soft lights lower down would make it look natural.
Hi, thanks for your fast reply. I'm using this kind of lighting because it gives me more freedom in post production and I'm not using a standard lamp, it has 500 watts of power, so I'm diffusing it with a paper. I like having bright scenes even when they are supposed to be dark (easier for noise reduction):

Why do the characters in the first frame have flesh heads and yellow bodies?

The movie should be finished in few days, I had spread time, so I did this in 24 hours. But the voice acting will be in french ![]()

That...doesn't answer the question.
Because I needed a certain head for that scene. ![]()
Fair enough
That's one hell of a shot by the way (the top one).
Thanks ![]()
Hope you guys will like my movie, I see you guys talking of legos and knew that I needed to make a new one. Nothing revolutionary, like I said, in 24 hours. I just finished most of the production, starting post-production. I have not done a stop motion Lego movie for 6 years now. Feels great!
Here is a frame from my upcoming TOY entry, "Flying Lead: A Tale of the Old West"

Hope you like it.
Wow! Reminds me of A:O.

I don't really like the framing.... I think the camera needs to be more to the right at the corner of the table.
Otherwise looks cool

Thanks! Most of the shots in this scene are 3/4ths shots, this one is more of a profile shot.
Sweet frame, RedBrick1! I can't wait for the movie.
Redbrick, Chopders, both your frames look fantastic, can't wait for both of them.
And Chopders, the lighting looks fantastic. I'd like to know what lamp your using, my one broke a while ago so I've had to use my room light since October.

This is exactly what I'm using. I just removed the protection grill: http://www.toolking.com/1/coleman_cable 538017.php
Very cheap, not very handy, quiet hot, but making enough light for an entire house ![]()
Chopders, that first frame looks a little... tall. How are you going to manage putting that on youtube without cutting off a lot of it? It looks fantastic, and perhaps you could add an effect to just the arms and make them pale-r?
Looks good RedBrick1. The only problem I can see is that the glass on the table is covering the guys face a bit, but it doesn't matter anyway. I love how the backgrounds blurred out, its very cinematic.
