Nice, even without a muzzle flash it looked better then most gunshot tests! Good work! One way to add a flash is to find one on the internet, and then take the background out in a photo editor. Then simply overlay it over your footage for one frame.
Thanks
In fact, I have After Effects and am still learning how to use it, I find it to be just such a complex program.
Also when I am exporting video in After Effects then it is never the way I wanted it to be. but I hope I find something out of it by watching tutorials and stuff.
Watch this video. It'll help a lot! ![]()
You have after effects? Neat! One thing that goes great with that is Action Essentials 2, it comes with explosions, muzzle flashes, the works. It also comes with some very nice tutorials. Videocopilot is a good site to check out, they have a ton of tutorials for after effects.
YEAH, I watched a few tutorials how to use after effects and this is the first try with effects!
Please ceck out the new video, it's updated with the effects and tell me what you think ![]()
Quick tip that I wish someone had told me when I was first starting out with AE: don't use the "Export" option. Use "Add to Render Queue" instead. The quality's a lot better.
I'd comment on the video, but it's marked as "private" on YouTube, so I couldn't watch it. Might want to switch it to "unlisted."
It shouldn't be private, and I did use "Add to Render Queue" ![]()
