I did some masking practice today:
Before:
After:
The shadow in the final image isn't actually necessary, seeing as there's barely a shadow to begin with.
I know, I just wanted to practice "shadow making" (God, that sounds like I participate in the dark arts).
Does anyone know how you could make an animation of a person spray painting? I need it for an upcoming film. I also need voice actors for that film, so if you could help with any of those things, it would be great!
Thanks,
JTP

well, say he's painting a wall. Just film him moving his canister about and then add like a blur paintbrush or something in Gimp to draw the pattern you want him to make...

First of all, this probably isn't the best thread to post this in (especially the part about voice actors, that should go in the audio section).
Second of all, Like topitmunkeydog said, you would do it in some sort of program like that or even better yet, see if you're video editing software has a rotoscoping feature or something.
Bumpity-Bump!
You Gimp users out there may like this.

First off, welcome to BiM, rachna12! You should check out the awesome guide to this site if you haven't already. It has a lot of helpful info on posting videos, your own sig, and how not to get flamed so much. Not double posting like you just did is one of those ways. Our excelent coders added an edit button in the lower right corner of your post.
@RB
I'm getting that pack.
Double post:
I'm considering investing in a tablet. My budget's about 50 USD. Any suggestions?
I have heard good things about the Bamboo tablet.
I'll check them out. Any other ones?
Buy a promethean board. ![]()
i.e. the touch screen white boards they have at schools
Downloaded the Gimp add-on and it;s amazing!
Soo many more brushes and gradients than the regular Gimp has.

In Photoshop there was already extra DL content and stuff ages ago. However it looks amazing considering it's free. However, as my Dad says; "Freeware might do everything you want it to do, and thats fine. However time is money, and the amount of time learning obscure Freeware programs that will eventually disipear for some reason is probably more expensive than getting the full thing. Adobe will be around for a very long time, so that when you learn it is a useful skill through out your life."
And that's how I became the epic Graphic Designer I am today. (O.K. maybe I am not that epic but yeah.)
