Re: Post Your Story Ideas

What is this GABFOS you speak of?

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

GIANT ALIEN BANANAS FROM OUTER SPACE.

duh.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

I apologise for my ignorance. I've never heard of GABFOS before. Sounds exciting though.

I've had an idea, and one that would work quite well with Lego: a boy discovers at an early age that he can produce clones, and control them as part of himself. Everything they learn, he learns; yet if they are in pain, he can't feel it. Over time, he is able to produce more than one, eventually getting to the stage of producing three and, at a push, four. However, every clone created costs him a large chunk of energy. As the boy gets older, the British Army realises that he's a powerful ally, and a dangerous foe, so invite him into the army with a massive pay and very little work. All he has to do is send his clones out to do their duty; should one die, or become immobile, he can simply create another. However, during one operation to de-arm what is believed to be a dangerous weapon, one of the boy's clones, Tertiary, loses contact with him. Another clone is then shot by the rogue clone and he disappears. EDIT (new idea): Tertiary then attacks several British HQs, as he knows what the boy does - passwords, sensitive information, etc. Thus, the Government feel that they must fire the boy, as he has become a liability. There are several assassination attempts against him, before Tertiary saves him. The clone explains that he was dreamt up in a nightmare, and so his very soul is black, whether he likes it or not. The only reason he doesn't kill the boy is because, should he die, Tertiary may also cease to exist. The boy discovers that Tertiary is building an army of his own clones, and so, the boy destroys both himself, Tertiary and the army in an explosion.

If anyone has anything to add to this, an idea, comment, praise or (constructive) criticism, please do share.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

@genzarata that sounds pretty epic, but how can the clones lose contact with the original dude; if their minds are connected?

I am makeing a film called Mecha Squadron 3 (the sequel to two other horrible 10 fps films)
It's about Star Wars if jar jar was a jedi. It's just really warped & messed up. Apparently Palpatine is Binks' sister, and their is a giant sock puppet named Fred who keeps eating things. You really do not want to see the 1st two, they are HORRIBLE. but hopefully the 3rd will actually be worth watching.

He lost contact because he chose to. The boy had never attempted to do it with any of his other clones, as he had no need to, but Tertiary experimented with the boundaries of being a clone every time he was created during a nightmare.

That film sounds awesome (if a bit... er, odd), will you post the link when you're done?

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

That could actually be an alright film. It would be pretty fun.

I had an idea. You know how a lot of slashers are based around days? (Friday the Thirteenth, My Bloody Valentine, Halloween, Black Christmas, Eli Roth's upcoming Thanksgiving, and Silent Night, Deadly Night are some that come to mind off the top of my head, though I'm sure there are heaps more). Wouldn't a Mardi Gras slasher be kinda cool? You know, with a killer wearing a venetian mask or something?
I don't know, just a little thought.

Oh, and how cool would this mask be in a slasher?

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

I had an idea this morning. I don't know if I'll ever make it, but it's silly and fun, I think.

---

Two old elementary school music teachers are tired of directing the same three dull musicals year after year. They decide to shake things up and shed a few years through the power of Rock and Roll! But will the principal and the school board approve? What will the parents think? And will two old ladies be able to successfully direct the groovingest Rock Opera you’ve ever seen?

Can I steal it from you?

That would be cool, especially with an awesome backstory.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

I love Mardi Gras as an idea, I've already had a few ideas centered around a Mardi Gras slasher so it'd be interesting to see your take on the theme.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

i have some ideas:
a Pirates film: Pirates Royalty (First Draft of Script Done)
a redo of the older film i made: Far Kauz the Phantom Mess 2D(to coincide with the 3D Star wars coming out in 2012) (Scripting under way)
a Series of 'Batman' films, in the spirit of the Comics(with one change: Batman is only 16ish, and not overly smart) the first film will be intitled "Batman the Beginner" (First Draft of Script Done)
the next 'Jack Brown' (first Draft Done) entitled 'Jack Brown and Elegant Evil'
and a Short 'stero Types' film

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

In early 20th century England, an Austrian Ballet Dancer is taking a train to London, after a long, exhausting trip from Vienna. On the train she sees the Tower Bridge in the background, one section of the bridge is in flames. She is astonished and sees a flock of birds circling around the flames. To top off the terrifying site she sees a man hanging from the middle of the bridge, on fire. She cannot believe what she sees. After a little while the train stops and she takes a ride to her apartment building, a small, but upscale apartment. She is respected in the ballet community, but soon loses touch as she is drawn deeper and deeper into a mystery involving a series of bird attacks in London. After some time she realizes she is being followed by a raven, one with glowing red eyes. She works with an underground scientist to help figure out why the birds attack, but the truth is far from what she had imagined.

It's a homage to BIRDS (the brickfilm classic)

... That's nothing like the Raven except that they mention birds... The Raven has no birds with glowing red eyes. You might wanna check up on your facts before you go ranting. Just because they mention a raven does not mean that it's about The Raven. A raven is a black bird. The name didn't come from the poem.

P.S. I believe you mean 'WHO' and not 'HOW'

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

If you ask me, it sounds one heck of a lot like The Birds. Kinzcove would know that, he likes Hitchcock.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

I guess nobody on this site understands a thing called a "homage." Everyone on this site automatically think that when an idea has similarities to a movie that it ripped off it, it's called a homage for gods sake.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

Why pay homage? Come up with your own ideas. Or at least post your own ideas in a forum for original ideas.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

It's fun to take an idea or two from a movie you really like, experiment with it, and build your own story sort of around the main concepts of that idea.

Plus it's not like my idea is unoriginal, it's got its own story to it, it's just people like you and oms have to find a flaw.

Re: Post Your Story Ideas

Making a film with bird attacks in it is hardly ripping off The Birds. There are, in fact, other films that feature such attacks.
