Topic: Parkour Tests

I'm Back! (Again...) Just a few short tests I have been working on over the past few weeks. As I do Parkour myself (as well as take pictures of plastic men) I thought it would be interesting to put some of the things I do into LEGO.

Re: Parkour Tests

Interesting tests. I'm no parkour aficionado myself, but some of the movements seemed too fast to me, and others too slow.

I have a challenge for you, as you said you did parkour yourself. Set a camera up on a tripod and film yourself doing some stunts. Then, try to recreate those frame by frame (at 15fps or so) in Lego stop motion. This should help teach you what speeds the animation should run at.

^ I agree with Sean.
Also, the minifig didn't appear to be putting effort into his movements.  For example, when he jumped from one wall to the other, he didn't crouch, bend, etc.  He stood straight as a pencil as he leaped from one place to the next.  Try to add some body movements to show effort.

Re: Parkour Tests

Thanks for the suggestions I will reanimate these and play with the techniques a little hopefully I'll have it up in the next few days.
