Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]
In essence, yes. It is a little more complex than a battle, but the basic idea was certainly to use these two major differences (skin color) as a basis for the storyline.

Well. Not exactly. The Palefaces are evil and deceitful. I would like to reveal that they come from a different galaxy; that is all that is revealed in the first movie, and I would prefer not to reveal more... But I used their skin color as a basis for the story idea, not as the main focus. Like the Native Americans called the settlers "palefaces" (I swear I didn't plan that, I called the flesh-colored LEGO people "palefaces" before I watched any westerns where that the same term was used), but that wasn't why they were fighting. In fact, it is almost exactly like that. The basic storyline has the Palefaces coming to the galaxy that the main characters reside in to try and get a foothold in the galaxy, and from there take over the rest of the galaxy. In a sense, it is like the settlers and Native Americans, but if the Native Americans won. The color of their skin has nothing to do with why they are fighting, it is just a random happenstance.

Here's my TOY poster, can you guess who's outta focus at the end, and can you guess what historical event my film is about?

Hmmm... The guy outta focus is an evil man plotting to take over the solar system, and the film is about going to Mars, me thinks. Yes?
Seriously though, cool stuff. Love the focusing there, works very well!
If forget who the president was during the Apollo mission, (Roosevelt?) however, this must be about... the Apollo mission.
It was Nixon.
Here's the poster of my TOY entry.
However the man seen on the poster is president John Fitzgerald Kennedy during his famous speech in 1962(Sept. 12th)
I figured.
Here is a snapshot of a short I'm working on:

It's called MUNNEY!!! Yeah, I know, awesome title. ![]()
