Re: Masking

First of all, this should go in the WIP's and Tests section (not to be the police) but the test was not bad for your first try! mini/smile

Done.

Re: Masking

Really well done for a first time... though you don't need to repeat the action so many times like that.

Re: Masking

It seems awkward, as indeed most minifig masking jobs seem (mine included) because you put the bricks on the bottom of the guy's feet. When masking away the bricks, you create a hard, solid line at the base of the minifig's legs, which is not present unless you have extremely clear high quality photos (so high quality that I have never seen it before). To remedy this, most people will put the support one the side of the minifig facing away from the camera, and connect it using sticky tack. It looks a lot more realistic. But for a first attempt at masking, this is fantastic! The masking itself was marvelous, but the style you used to support him is just not the best.

I just do that so if the video was too quick then people don't have to rewind to see it again. also to make it more epic (with the music and stuff) mini/lol

Re: Masking

Like JP said, not bad for your first try! Pretty good if you ask me, just watch those bumps next time.

As I said above, that is due to the bricks that have been erased being on the feet. Therefore when you edit out the bricks, you are forced to make an unnaturally strait line at the bottom of the feet, which makes it look rough. But you'll find this is extremely common, as that is how most people mask.

you know, I like this website because you actually get helpful commentary on your work, instead of on youtube when all you get is "WHOA HOWD U MAK TEH LEGO DUDEZ MOVE??!?!???!?"
