No. Just no. Star Wars is a classic (the original trilogy being the best in the series) and it should stay that way. They are coming out with 3D Star Wars starting in 2012, and they have the Clone Wars Animated Adventures going on now, and maybe the rumored Bounty Hunters live-action film/episodes coming out. The films themselves should remain the way they are- near perfect (Episodes I and II aren't the best).

Really? See, this is what causes some internal debate in me. I hate sequels to films, because 90% of the time they are terrible. Loved Titanic? Ever saw Titanic 2? Don't.
But the other thing is that Pixar is the story god. None, absolutely none, of their films have had a bad story (name one and you die). They pulled off Toy Story 2, and Toy Story 3 was the best in the series. So I don't doubt that Cars 2 and Monsters Inc 2 will be bad.
But still, some of the great movies should be left at that. Don't add more.
I agree with you on Star Wars, or at least the original trilogy, those three are still the best of all the Star Wars films, and way better than all this new clone wars jazz, where they ruin the story, a lot.
Pixar is a sub company under Disney, they don't make stories at all. They may have made some of there own films, I'm not sure, but they currently animate all of Disney's films, except the cartooned ones. Disney makes stories, Pixar animates. I just wanted to clear that up, and if you don't believe me, look here.
I do agree, both Monster 2 and Cars 2 will probably be pretty good, they are also not quickies released a year or two after the previous, both originals are getting on in years, especially Monsters, which means they will try to make it good, not release it quickly so people come by the thousands to see it. Also, because both were so great, I'm sure they will try to maintain a high standard for both films. I'm a little worried that Cars 2 is going to be a cliched film for laughs, with almost no storyline, the trailer is very cliche IMO, I mean really, "they are back to save the world" the English spies, all so cliche. It will be a very different story, one of making friends and winning a race, the other of saving the world, very different story lines. Mater looks funny as ever though
