Minifig Walking Test

Walking test 'cuz I'm new to brickfilming.' Not the best animation, but I'll improve. mini/smile

Re: Minifig Walking Test

Not bad, but the arms need to move a bit more and his torso was rocking back and forward a little.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

Re: Minifig Walking Test

That was good, except you should probably use a higher frame-rate. Was that 10 FPS? 15 is good.

Re: Minifig Walking Test

It was 12. Alright, I'll do 15 next time.

Re: Minifig Walking Test

Perhaps you should try this on a larger set?

best walk cycle ever!!!

Re: Minifig Walking Test

Nathan Wells, never struck me as an impressive animator, just an impressive set builder.

Re: Minifig Walking Test

Yes, it looks like an okay animation. The camera placement was a bit odd, and made it hard for me to see the actual animation. I too agree with RealBrick. Nathan Wells animation was okay, but his best section was set building and story.
It's not the 4 or 5 frame walk cycle as both the ones seen above, it's a 7 frame walk cycle. Longer in time- but better in quality. Here's an example of a 7 frame walk cycle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gziA0myDK9M

Why are you all hijacking Thunderbolt's thread?

nathan wells does not follow the ease in/eases out technique so wonderfully described by fancy pants, but I really like his walk cycle.

I'm not hijacking his thread, I'm simply saying that if he tried a 7 frame walk cycle, the outcome would appear nicer. Then I just showed and example of what a 7 frame walk cycle appears as. It's not that big of a deal.
