Ambitious Little Robot

My entry for THAC 8.A small ambitious robot wishes he could replace his small wheelboxes for legs.He finally gets his chance, but is he a little too ambitious? This is NOT how I wanted it to turn out, but the time limit messed with it..

Oh, and WMM messed with the colours, so red is now orange..


EDIT: OK,just wanted to say that if you posted a comment, I have read it, and really appreciate the feedback, but I probably won't reply unless it's a question. It would be kind of rude for me to keep bumping my film up when there's others that need commenting on too.

That doesn't mean I don't still want and very much appreciate feedback however, so thanks. mini/smile

If this does not win I would you a large display of lucid frustration and take the judges out into the alley and MAKE THEM FEEL WHAT FOR.

This was truly fantastic. I loved it.

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Review

This reminds me a lot of Robota actually, which I loved. And despite what you say I thought this was really good! Taking on doing a 3 minute film in 24 hours is hugely ambitious! And with quite good animation, a nice story, there's a lot of over average stuff here. But unfortunately a lot of under average stuff too. The lighting wasn't brilliant and the changes in various places were rather noticeable, and the story wasn't all that easy to follow, considering there was no dialogue.

Story: 7/10
Animation: 5/10
Cinematography: 5/10
Set Design: 6/10
Entertainment Factor: 7/10
Overall: 30/50

I never feel confident with my films, I don't know why, but that really inspired me to get back into brickfilming.

I, too, really enjoyed this.  At times it was a bit hard to follow, but you nailed the theme, had great robot designs, and the story was touching and entertaining.  Nice job! mini/smile

Yeah, I had a mini robot avatar for quite a while here, but then I switched it up a few times. I'm fine with anyone using the design of the robot; I couldn't care less. mini/tongue

Personally, I think that you should have put the small hat shell thing on the back, just to make it look cooler mini/smile  Nice job on this film though!

Nice job Brickyman!  The story fit the theme very nicely.  The best entry to Thac 8 IMO.
