StormTrooper305, you're thinking way too much about materials and not about a descent idea. Just start with some pen and paper and write some idea's. When you've completed your FINAL idea and script you can go worry about which minifigs you're gonna use. And no. WAR is not an idea that's worked out properly.

Personally I think doing about WW2 is a great idea, and how the US joined forces in 1941 mini/tongue I have researched this loads, and I have started scripting (2 weeks ago). The reason why I am worried about Materials is this script might take me a while, and to be honest, I may not want to write a whole script again for another month, cos then I'd have not much time to animate mini/jaw

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Well, anyway, it is completely normal for a soldier to have a green suit and pink skin. Why should having yellow skin look weird? It's the same thing, and don't worry about that. You should worry about other things like sets.

This contains some cool packages. I'm so in...but can it be Nonfiction like Assassins Creed?

Well, I hope you wrote that wrong.
If you mean't fictional, yes, but don't use characters from Assassins Creed, make your own.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Can we fast track to the future from the past?
So the film could start in about 1900's and then he builds a time machine or something like that? . . .
That isn't my script though similar. Can any tell me that?

I am a Brickfilmer that wants to succeed in becoming a director and maybe own an animation studio.

It depends on the actual content of the film, but if you do include time travel, it's likely you won't score many points for fitting the theme.

Is it that hard to just set your movie in the past without having to mix it up with fairy tales and time machines?

All right, I am going to either do a WW1 film, or a Cold war film. I have the stories. Decisions, decisions...

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

When it says 'excessive violence', I'm guessing you can have a little bit of violence with a tiny bit of blood. I was planning to have a guy on the floor with a little bit of blood on him. I need to know soon, please reply...

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Ok this question has been asked before but I don't really know what the answer is, can a myth count as history if the myth is set in a historic time?

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Do you think it would be okay to have future elements in the film? Similar to how Aladibababad had a Burger Doodle.

I think that would be OK. If it was in an historical myth then yes, like lets say Merlin and Aurthur Pendragon (an example)

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

My answers to the myth question and the violence question would be yes those are both fine.

I don't get why so many people are asking about setting their films in the future or putting modern things into historical settings. This is a history-themed contest, so I would guess that a more historical approach to the storytelling would be more successful in it.

Damn, there was a burger doodle in Aladibababad though.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

So does that mean I could create a famous story? Like Robin Hood? Thats what I was thinking about doing.
