Is this thread still going? Deary me.
I may as well say again what I said before.
All platforms have their plus points, and all have their minus points.
Try and balance your choice based on the points that are relavent to you, and you shouldn't go too far wrong.
The whole multimedia thing is pretty much a non-issue these days. I also think that everything that could be said has been said.
Theyre both pretty much as good as each other at everything they happen to do, graphics, coding or otherwise. I know a lot of graphic artists who use Windows, and a lot of coders who use Macs. Let the poor argument die, and get what you want to get. You like the look of the Mac and the feel of OSX? Buy one then. You prefer Windows and the ability to build your own rig? Get that instead. You want a more in depth, configurable and open OS experience? Run Linux or something of that ilk. These arguments seem to have no purpose other than for fanboys of one platform to slag off fanboys of a different platform.
And what's with all the stereotyping and blanket statements? 'Mac is faster' I doubt say... a core2 duo Mac will outrun, say... a corei7 PC system.
Not sure why I'm saying this again, fanboys will be fanboys and argue until ragnarok.
