Giant? It doesn't really seem like it.

There are probably a quite a few reasons that you haven't gotten any help yet. They are most likely as follows:

1.) What you're asking isn't easy at all, and takes a lot of time to do. it's not just something that you can whip up overnight.

2.) People might not think that your films are good enough, or worth their time, so to speak, for them to contribute to. I'm not saying your animations are bad, I'm just stating a possibility.

3.) I'm almost 100% confident that all other 3D artists have lots of prior commitments. I for one know that my schedule is extremely busy, and I haven't even been able to make stuff on my own much these past few months.

4.) It doesn't really seem very necessary to spend weeks modeling and texturing a giant a extremely detailed 3D scene (not to mention lighting and setting up the camera angle, etc.), and just use it for one or two shots in a movie that you don't really have any relation to. What you're asking seems pretty extravagant to me, is all I'm saying.

Re: The CGI Thread

The modeling looks great.  the turtle could use a texture though.  if you get a leather texture and tint it green with photoshop or gimp it should look good.  especially if you made a normal map to go with it

Re: The CGI Thread

Re: The CGI Thread

Will do
Thanks

Re: The CGI Thread

I'm still learning how to use Blender. I'd really love to be able to do CGI, and not just in my animations. Once I crack that, I'm moving onto creature animation for a live-action series.

But that's a long way away.

Re: The CGI Thread

The turtle's not bad, but the claws look terrible and the fingers could do with a little work

Re: The CGI Thread

I've been working on my first real part, a CGI version of the BrickForge Halo armor:

Re: The CGI Thread

I am having a problem with Blender 2.55. I recently downloaded the Beta version (zipped; compressed) from their website, extracted everything and double clicked the application. I've already un-installed the 2.4 version, but the load up menu still isn't showing up with anything. Python is already installed, & I downloaded the Windows 32 Bit for Win. Vista.
