I think I need to move his arms twice as fast, trying to make it look like he's running for his life.

That was beautiful.
Yeah, maybe faster arms would help.
But you always get the lighting so perfect, and your animation rocks! ![]()
pretty smooth. but you right. you have move his arms faster. ![]()
Best. Ever. This film is going to be AWESOME. (better than Smeagol's Unrenewable?)
i think that it the animation and movement were perfect.
but it would have been better if you made the camera shake a bit during the sequence.![]()

This was not your best. Arms were too slow, as you said, and the motion was way too smooth... it looked like he was skiing, not running. If you moved the minifig's legs at all during that shot, it certainly didn't look like it.
According to Noodle's signature, he was being sarcastic ![]()
But now that he mentions it, it does look like he was skiing or ice skating or something. Maybe you should look at some scooby doo running sequences or something.

any better?
What's the difference?

It was better, I think, although his head remains fairly still vertically, and I'm wondering if that might be what's making it look odd.
More vertical head bob while keeping the horizontal rocking you've got in the second one would look best, I suspect.
Still though- while not completely alive, it does look very nice, and it's certainly coming along. Run cycles are always difficult.
especially in 24 fps squash ^^^^
i think it would look much better with camera slowly shaking. ![]()

That, and the backround needs to move a bit slower. It still looks fake.
Your face looks fake.
I thought it was great. Maybe if you actually moved the legs it would look like more like he's moving.

i think he did.
anyways, you cant see them so it would look exactly the same. ![]()
