Wow, thank you for your informative and insightful response, goldencamerastudios. 
Muszynski, most image editing programs have the ability to make animated .GIFs. I'm pretty sure Photoshop surely has this. In GIMP, you can import each frame of the animation a seperate layer, then save it as an animated .GIF.

I'd like to challenge you to make a smiley that's not just a cheaply edited version of a previous smiley Muszynski. Just taking existing smiley and adding a tiny bit more onto them isn't really eye-popping you know.
