Re: The LEGO Club Show

Just thought I'd catch you guys up on some new segments I worked on...

3.1 - Max goes fishing.
3.4 - Flappy shows off some LEGO ships, followed by the infamous Black Eyed Piece video.

4.1 - Max in LEGO City.
4.4 - Flappy talks LEGO carnival rides.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

Is Flappy done with stop-motion? I would think it would be like photo animation or something.

Nice work, man! mini/bigsmile

Re: The LEGO Club Show

Thanks! Flappy is not stop-motion, though I try to maintain a stop-motion-type look to him. He's a photo puppet -- rigged and animated in After Effects based on photos of a real Flappy model.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

5.2 - Flappy presents random models.
5.4 - Max drives around with LEGO Tiny Turbos.

You never cease to amaze, David.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

Thanks for sharing these.  Especially liked the newest Max segment.  I love all the awesome animation you do.  Keep it up mini/wink

Re: The LEGO Club Show

Okay, HOW MUCH DO YOU GET PAID?

Re: The LEGO Club Show

We've asked that many times with no response, so I'm guessing David doesn't want to tell us.

Or isn't allowed to.

But I wouldn't really feel very inclined to tell someone, first of all because it's most likely private information, and also because it sounded a bit rude the way you asked that MadLibs. mini/wink

Great job on the animation/SFX of these Paganomation. I'm finding myself watching them more than once, which is definitely a good thing.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

That's just a rather tacky question to ask of anyone.

I get asked this a lot, and I don't like to appear rude or snobby to people who are curious about the work that I do. But, it really is an inappropriate question to ask.

So when people pose this question online, I generally prefer to ignore it. Please don't take it personally. (When people ask at events, I'll usually change the subject with a joke about "referring them to my accountant".)

What you make at your job is nobody's business but your own. Besides, I know you can come up with a more interesting question than that. mini/smile

Re: The LEGO Club Show

I have a question:
If I had your job, how much would I get paid?

...

Seriously though, great work on this stuff. It all looks really nice and it's obvious that a lot of hard work went into it.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

Thanks, everyone. I try hard to make each one even a little bit better than the last.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

Paganomation, what camera do you use?

I can't brickfilm for now. See you guys later.

Re: The LEGO Club Show

I love each and every brickfilm you put together for the show. Congratulations on getting picked up by LEGO! I look forward to more mini/smile

You should post a video on how you became affiliated with LEGO (sorry for making it sound illegal mini/sad )
