Some great lighting, I'll have to try some of these techniques one day. How long do you expect this film to be?

my guess is around 5 to 7 minuets.

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

It looks like you're really laboring over this. It looks awesome! Keep up the good work!

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

My god. I really can't wait. It would look exactly like Dr. Strangelove if it would be Black and White. And the megablocks shield is a great idea.

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

Kids, in the event you ever make a LEGO film, never make a set like this, cursing will be a large part of the animation. Also I really hate flat walls in movies, they bore me.

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

This set wasn't quite as painful to animate on as I thought it would be, although I did bump the tripod in the first second of animation mini/confused I ended up just cutting out that first second as there was no dialog, the shot is still around 9 seconds long. Yeah for complex sets that are only seen for 9 seconds and never used again!

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

You know, for as long as I've been on the site, I have never seen one of your films...can't wait mini/bigsmile

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

you can fix that here

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

For about a month most of my shooting gear was at a bike shop, and then I was busy with the holidays and after that was over I ended up doing some more shooting at the bike shop and then got sick with the plague, but I am back to working on my movie and things should start moving forward again.

Here is a trans-dimensional zeppelin  and a coastline set for it, the bad thing about the zeppelin is it is huge and I will need several sets that it is in for this movie which will be a real challenge to make, so far the coastline set has taken a day and a half to build and I'm not quite done with it.

Looking great!  Really like how the rocks look!

Re: Interdimensional Adventures (working title)

Thanks, after getting the set almost finished I did a lighting test, this shot is going to require quite a bit of digital work, I have two more water plates which I will cover the viable particle board with and comp in, I'll also have to remove the rocking rig for the zeppelin, and it's shadow on the background. Then once I cover up the light that is leaking through the set everything should look like a storybook illustration. Hopefully I can get it shot tomorrow.

WOW. That is awesome. Seriously. I don't know which I like more, the cliff or the flying boat thing. Excellent work! mini/bigsmile

Beautiful, love the evening lighting in the background and the fabulous set design. Greatly anticipating the finished film.
