Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

I am working on a great Idea, it's just a concept so far, but it may have potential.

The amazing torso decal design that brings out the unlimited possibilities of Lego.

To show you how this Idea works, I have taken an image of our dear Minifigure, we'll call him Jim.

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RealBrick/Drawings/before.png

as you can plainly see, Jim is wearing a standard torso. a solid color, but this will change.

By using my torso design, which uses transparency to make shades of one color:

and applying it to a solid torso color using a brand of printer paper that prints on a transparent sticker, you can truly explore the limitless possibilities Lego provides.

Again, this is simply a concept, it needs work.
The decal was actually applied in GIMP, so yeah, results may vary.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

Nice, but I think that idea has been done before (sorry to rain on your parade). I'll try and find the link...

EDIT: Here. It seems to be called Waterslide Decal Film.

It sounds like your trying to start a corporation RealBrick.  I do like the title though.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

When I get a website, when I become know, when I make some films, when I make a film, this will be available for download and some packs of decals will be available at a store.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

That's pretty cool. Looking forward to it.
I know this isn't a very good idea, and probably creates more problems than it could (potentially) solve, but you could have something on your website - kinda like Paint, maybe - where people could make custom decals themselves as well, that get sent to them on the transparent sticky paper. I don't know. Just there's a lot of people (myself included) who like designing decals but can only apply them to minifigs using normal paper and BluStick.
It's just an idea. You're are allowed to say "That's an awful idea, Dan", btw.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

That Idea could potentially amount to something good. I just don't know about an online MS Paint. I could have people upload their own stuff perhaps. And the paper I am talking about would be something like this: http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/AveryDennison/72782-04383-p04t?$s7product$&wid=193&hei=248

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

Yeah, the MS Paint seemed like a bad idea when I was writing it. The upload idea is way better.

PS: How much does that stuff cost? It looks like something I could get my hands on at a newsagents/art supplies place, yeah?

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

well, the picture is a link to Avery.com, and they price it at $13.60

Whoops, stuffed up the spelling. Can't be bothered fixing it tbh.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

I need a decal of the Apple logo for a copro my bro and I are doing. Everything besides the logo should be transparent. Also, I need a short "How to make Lego Decals with sticker paper an microsoft word 101".

My only complain about how this came out would be the pectorals.

Pajamas
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RealBrick/Decals/night_garb.png
I think this came out okay.

Girl's Sweater
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RealBrick/Decals/sweaterfemale.png

Dark Wrestling Shirt

I know many of you think this is strange, and I apologize.

EDIT:

TransTorso Suit2

I realized how crappy my first TransTorso was, so I make this one.

Nice. I like the jumper best.

AE shirt. Ahhh yeah.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

That certainly looks like an "Æ" on Danish keyboards. Not sure if it's intended, but it sure does.
And I mostly like the Girl's Sweater. It looks quite LEGO'ish!

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

I made some more.

Joke T-Shirt
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RealBrick/Decals/humor.png
Well I think it's funny.

V-Neck

Tan Undershirt

And yet another undershirt, this one needing a wash.

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

No offence RealBrick, your drawing skeelz are good, but suits have lapels, and yours don't so they look a bit like sweaters...

Re: Post your LEGO decals here! *LARGE FILE WARNING*

Darn, I knew they were missing something.
