Machete

Not the greatest movie ever made, but damn it's really entertaining, especialy some of the gore and dialogue created.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Fantastic film. Can't imagine what it must have been like for the people watching it in the theater in the 80's. There was just too many flaws in the story, though. The script writers should have read the BIBLE. mini/tongue

Move over Carrie, this is my new favorite horror movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Matrix

The greatest Action/Sci-Fi of all time? Hmm, its up there in my list. The CGI is amazing for the time, the plot though at first confusing all clicks together in the end. The problem is that this movie is obviously a set up for the other two movies, so its only about half way through the movie that everything gets explained, and by that time there's only enough time for one action scene before the film ends. But its still awesome. Only 'Terminator 2' and 'Total Recall' have such a complex Sci-Fi plot yet are so packed with really good action.

However, I have yet to see the sequels....

Breathless

I watched with a few friends and one ask what it was about, I said I hadn't seen it but it was french new wave so there would probibly be some crime and a lot of people smoking (I was right) This film had some of the best, most rediculuse dialog ever. It was great.

The Temple of Doom

Felt more like a sticom than an Indiana Jones movie.

When is there racism in "Transformers"? Not that I'm defending the movie, I just can't remember any.
PS: It's a movie about giant alien robots that transform into cars and fight each other. I doubt you're suprised at it.

The Great Escape
I can see why this is a classic.

First time watching. 'Twas a good movie.

A Serious Man
mini/bigsmile  I loved it. Hilarious movie with some fantastic scenes in it, it's really different from their other films but it's awesome. The music really made a big difference.
Now, to wait for True Grit mini/bigsmile

Friday the 13th
I watched this again, giving it a second chance. It failed.
This movie is the absolute worst piece of garbage i've ever seen. It wasn't
even stupid enough to be enjoyable or funny, it was crap on a stick.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Social Network

Y'know, it's a dangerous statement to call a movie flawless, but I'll be damned if this doesn't come close. Beautifully shot and directed, the movie weaves its way through the origins of Facebook and the subsequent lawsuits seamlessly. The writing shows Aaron Sorkin at the top of his game; of his previous works that I've seen, they tend to show moments of brilliance in between moments of no-so-brilliance, but here, his signature quick-witted dialogue works well here without any awkward moments. The cast is all great, especially the three leads. Overall, this is just a fine, excellently-rendered film, one that I would probably call the best of the year so far.

I realy recommend this film.

Eh. Thought this was going to be better. The car chase wasn't as good as I had heard it was. Steve McQueen was still supercool, though.

Ed Wood
Loved it. Really well done. I just gotta see Plan 9 now. Also, I never noticed the fact that Count Blah's hatred for The Count from Sesame Street was a parody of Bela Lugosi's hatred for Boris Karloff.
I liked Orson's words of wisdom, too.
