The Last Crusade

I enjoyed it. I thought it was hilarious when

No, that was hilarious.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I made the mistake of letting a friend of mine watch that part.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

When I was a kid that freaked the bejesus out of me.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

When I was a kid that part made me laugh hysterically...

Am I a bad person?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

My brother used to watch that part over and over again.

He would be a bad person.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Plan 9 From Outer Space
Brilliant.
"See? See?! Your stupid minds! STUPID! STUPID!"

The Mummy (1932)
I was expecting some cool pyramid based action with old fashioned mummies and stuff. I was kinda disappointed that the storyline was pretty different but whatever. It was alright I guess, although I probably should have bought Creature from the Black Lagoon instead.

I really enjoyed it for "Boris Karloff's performence, he's just such a fascinating actor, and the flashback scene was great.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of my favourite horror classics.

Bela Lugosi: F**K YOU! Karloff did not deserve to smell my s**t!

Sorry, I love that line.

I've just bought a boxset of classic Universal Horror movies (Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and The Wolf Man - but no Spanish Dracula mini/sad ) I'm about halfway through 'Dracula' - its great, but watching a movie from the 30's makes me feel spoilt with all the technology available today.

And, scarily enough:

Ed Wood

This movie has shot instantly into my 'all time favourites' list. Tim Burton really understands Ed Wood, and it definitely shows. Its not mocking Ed, its actually celebrating him - although the only way to celebrate him is to mock him......but in a nice way.

Its hilarious, tragic, and uplifting all at the same time. Its crammed full of so many memorable quotes ("Look, Bela's dead and Vampira won't talk. I had to give somebody the dialog!") and its really funny seeing what could have gone on behind the scenes of Ed Woods movies - anything could have happened....and everything does.

Its incredible. Go watch it if you show any appreciation for Ed Wood, or 50's B-Movies in general.

Winter's Bone mini/sad

Pretty much flawless, I just wasn't that into it.
I guess I was too tired, you'd have to be in the mood for it, it's very heavy going.
All meth dealers and domestic abuse and absent fathers and rednecks...
Still, it's very good, I'd recommend it highly.

The Fury
Lolol, the telepathic girl was funny.
16 year old girl:"COMMON, READ MY MIND, DON'T YOU READ MINDS?"
Telepathic Girl: "You're thinking about your pregnany."

.

I think I have the exact same boxset.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Way awesomer than the first one.

"PULL THE STRING! PULL THE STRING!"
(I'm aware that that was originally from Glen or Glenda, but Martin Landau did such a good job with it.)
Yesterday I got a box-set of Ed Wood movies. It's got:

- Glen or Glenda
- Crossroad Avenger
- Jail Bait
- Bride of the Monster
- Plan 9 from Outer Space

I've only watched Plan 9 so far. Which one do you guys recommend next? I was thinking Bride of the Monster, just to see Bela Lugosi fighting that octopus.

Yeah, no offence to Bela, but Martin actually says it better.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Haha, yeah. Although I think that I liked Bela's "Home? I have no home." speech better than Martin's.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon
I think this is my favorite "Universal Monsters" film so far. (Having seen Frankenstein, The Wolf Man and The Mummy). It was just awesome.

Bride of the monster is best after Plan 9 from outer space.

Alice in Wonderland
The new one, not the old cartoon one.
It was nothing like I expected, but it was very good.
