Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me in LEGO
If you enjoy songs from Taylor Swift as much as I do, I hope you enjoy this video.
Same style as with Tong Hua with strong contrast and faceless minifigs and with that, I was hoping you'd 1-up yourself from your previous setback, but I guess this now makes you the guy with the faceless fig music videos
.
Animation is good, although I'm annoyed with the ghosting that reveals a less than smooth animation in some parts.
Not a big Taylor Swift fan but damnit that song's catchy.

Ok, I love Taylor Swift and this is one of my favorite songs. You did a fantastic job with this and I hope it doesn't get taken down because it's really good. But though the faceless minifigs are cool, I would have liked their faces there but still, Great, great job! ![]()

I think Brickfilmers would make a video of a Taylor Swift song in order to get a date....
I'm more of a Carrie Underwood fan myself, but this song is actually one of Swift's that I don't mind. You recreated the original music video better than very well, and the animation is good.
I'd say 4/5
Wow! You recreated the music video quite well (but I liked yours better). That must have taken a lot of time. Great job!
Anything from Markenration is worth waiting for. I played it alongside the original and your recreation was very accurate. I think you could have conveyed the characters' emotion a bit better though - I didn't realise she was meant to be singing the song until I watched the actual video. The movements were a little robotic to make it seem like Taylor was jumping around in front of her mirror. Oh, and (nitpick) the hands were seldom facing the right way around.
Great visuals. 5/5
WHAT THE [expletive] IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!!!! SHE DESERVES TO TAKE A BATH IN BOILING OIL!!!!!
Eddie, thats really not worth posting. Some people actually like her music, so keep your opinions to yourself.
Glad to see we're still on top of this whole constructive criticism thing.
Overall the film was very well done, although there are a few things I'm not sure about. While the faceless minifigures are an interesting aesthetic, I'm not totally convinced they were the best choice for the film- although I do see that you only used them for the main characters, so I don't doubt you put thought into the choice. I think you could take your animation to a higher level if you really try. You obviously have the patience, but I think if you took some time working on cushioning movements the animation as a whole would benefit greatly; nothing wrong with using 12fps, but I feel like a small change in how you do all your animation could make a world of difference in the way the final product turns out. Anyway, very enjoyable film with a lot of things we don't see often in brickfilms. I can't wait to see what you come up with next time!
Also, just for the record, although I don't much listen to Swift, I do like this song.
