BuilderBrother's, I loved your entry, it inspired me to make my last film and I wish that it would've placed higher. 
EDIT: Oh yeah thanks Smeags for organising it all. I would've entered if I could've thought of a idea and being in the chat was somehow more fun than I thought it'd be.

Thank you very much, that came... unexpected. And of course congratulations to Nick Durron, LGFB and all the other participants. Mr. Night Owl might not be satisfied, but I saw a bunch of entertaining and innovative films, which pushed the borders of brickfilm at least a little bit. Step by step into a better future

Well done to everyone, especially Nick Durron. It was nice to see someone else who uses real zombies. 
Next year I'll enter for sure, I didn't really have enough time or ideas for this.

I felt this contest was ultimately asking too much, and I also feel much like Night Owl and Smeagol. The entires in general weren't bad...they just didn't fit the theme, had pretty poor production standards, or both.
Also, I think that everyone has a right to critique the quality of a contest, even if they didn't enter. Some of us had no time or resources to enter.
I hope the next contest is more successful.

For what it's worth, this contest had more entries than any previous BiM contest other than THAC, as well as the Brickfilms.com contests I know of. The average quality was fairly good, though maybe not quite what STAR offered as far as production values alone. (To me the more interesting concepts here more than compensate for that.) While I wouldn't have minded more radical, bold interpretations of the theme I was still pleased with the results, and I think the contest had some success in getting people to try new ideas.
Nice, I think the judges did a good job on this one. Very Nice to all the winners.
Smeagol, I think the quality suffered because most of the entrants were spending most of their time trying to come up with an Idea.
And because half waited to the last month to put it all together. Filmyguy filmed most of his in 4 DAYS!!! For BiM 2011, set the date when you release the theme a bit earlier. So no on e procrastinates.
