Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

It's about the cinematography Filip, not about cars mini/tongue . But i need to tell ya: the set IS CGI, my table was full of trash and I was tired so i just builded the set in LeoCad and rendered with Carrara 6.0

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I like it. Though the cars would definitely benefit from having shadows.

TGTom - For some reason the colors in your entries always look pretty...    ...gross. The olive green, orange, and brown just do not go together at all.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I definetally agree with Leo, TG tom. I think you just need to experiment with different styles of lighting and different colors.

Oh man. Now that's cinematography. That mountain in the background is brilliant. mini/bigsmile
Nice job.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I like the depth that the shot has, but I feel like the sky needs to be a lot brighter.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I reallly like that shot, Gospelnut. Though you could have used tan bricks for the sand, but it's still one of the best shots this round. I have to disagree with you, Leo. I think the sky looks great.

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Yeah i thried to make a ''CSI-Miami'' feel, but i think that didn't worked out. The Color correction was a pretty huge job tough

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

That's really cool, Gospelnut, but I agree with Leo about the sky, if the sky was brighter, it wouldn't look like there was a lamp just above the set so much.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Gospelnut, the problem with that is that the lighting isn't convincing. Try surrounding the set with white paper to bounce the light, illuminating the sky more, and adjusting your white balance to get rid of the warm tint the image has right now.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

I used just one light to see if I could get a sun-like glare in the top of my shot.(if I use two lights, the glare disappears) And I like the warm tint, as it gives the shot a hot, tropical feeling.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Yeah, i like the lighting like that. really good entry, Gospelnut.
Plus, it's about Pirates, and that's gotta count for something. mini/bigsmile

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)
