What do you mean by "school online"? The internet isn't really the best place to gain an education. And i don't know what extra credit is but surly you would have to do something eduction related for it to be credit.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

In America there are online schools, ours is a cyber charter school, and extra credit is extra projects that weren't exactly assigned to you. And brickfilming is counted as technology, so it can have no education whatsoever and be counted as extra credit.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

TDogg, put some research in before posting something like that.

"Schooling Online" means home schooling, but instead of a parent doing it, they learn from a government website. I trust public school better though.

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

I have never heard of such a thing. Even home schooling is pretty rare. But i am sceptical of this internet schooling thing, i can't see how you would make many friends or learn about life on the internet. But i suppose if the parent didn't want their child to be exposed to life then this would be a good way to school them.

This was the research. Maybe you should learn what research is before you accuse others of not researching things fully. Also, thank you for explaining "Schooling online".

Anyway back to the subject at hand... September contest.

There is such a thing as having a social life outside of school. Just saying.

When did i imply that? I met almost all my friends at school. If i wasn't to have gone to school they wouldn't be my friends. And as i don't go to school anymore all my social life is outside of school, so what you said is stating something that i am aware of already.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

TDogg, maybe you did meet almost all your friends in school, but we didn't (& yes, we do have friends from our cyber school). Yes, home schooling is rare, but we still are exposed to the world, make many friends & get a solid education. Sure, it's somewhat different, but it's nothing like the schools we live by.

Sorry for "Off topicness" mini/tongue .

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

Gosh, when you guys go off-topic, you really don't do it halfheartedly do you?

Should the sponsor not reply, would that mean no month-long contest or no contest at all?

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

I guess BRAWL is out. Shame, since I will be incredibly busy during September (am I the only one who is?) Wouldn't it be better to have BRAWL now, and have a month long contest in August - when no-one is doing anything? I have college from 9-5 and will probally get a part-time job for those remaining hours, and I'm sure its the same for everyone else. And there isn't even a half-term in September, heck, there isn't a single day off apart from weekends, which will no doubt be spent doing coursework/homework. Surely have BRAWL now in August and the September contest in September?

I suppose this is a better use of September than 'Septemberfest'...

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

Why is there a discussion about homeschooling in this thread? OUT.

I don't have a sponsor lined up, guys.  One was in the works but they've kind of slowed down in responding to stuff.  There may not even be a September contest, but I certainly couldn't hold a BRAWL later this month.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

How about a contest with no prize? I wouldn't mind, personally.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

I agree. A september contest would be very welcome, prize or no prize.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

Themed contest

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

BRAWL never really had prizes - it was all about the taking part. We should continue this with the new September contest.

Re: Upcoming Contest Poll

I can do both, but wont the September contest be a hassle for some people? I think school will be a problem for some who want to enter.

It's cold outside

... Why would you care if you don't want to enter? The contest being there isn't going to harm anybody, you don't HAVE to enter.

Oh, haha, sorry, didn't cross my mind for some reason.
EDIT: Wait-- If you want to enter, why would you say not to have a contest? Or do you mean that you just want a BRAWL?
