BRAWL never really had prizes - it was all about the taking part. We should continue this with the new September contest.

How about we don't.
Real Brick would rather do Brawl than the September contest.

Oh, haha, sorry, didn't cross my mind for some reason.
EDIT: Wait-- If you want to enter, why would you say not to have a contest? Or do you mean that you just want a BRAWL?
That's what I said.
Let's get back on topic though.
So DaD isn't the official contest, or what??? I'm just really confused.
Is like the one contest "2D BAC" which was not official and failed.
How about we don't.
How about we do.
Why is everyone so opposed to a contest just because they dont get a stupid little eurobricks voucher? I want to enter a contest in which I shall create something people can enjoy and I can be proud of - not because of some prize that I wont win.

Just because its unofficial doesn't mean its not worth entering. In fact, its better to enter since your more likely to win. I won $10 from the contest you are using as an example. It didn't 'fail', it just received about 5 entrants. A 'failed' contest is when its cancelled or no one enters.

Very true, I won a bunch of Brickarms in a youtube contest. I don't care about a prize either.
More proof I am the most incompetent fool ever. I'm sorry, I was just trying to enforce my opinion that prizes are not everything when it comes to 'official' contests.

You still made a good point MB. And sorry about the confusion Real Brick.
I notice I'm being a little hypocritical to say Prizes are not the only point of contests, but then I say unofficial contests are worth entering because your more likely to win a prize.
Think of the prestige of official contests. THAC, FAR, STAR, each contest has been won by some of the biggest names in the Brickfilming industry. By merely entering you are being part of something huge and you can proudly say you entered it.
Whilst with unofficial contests you dont have the prestige. Thats not to say you shouldn't enter, the contest may have a good theme. I liked the theme of '2D BAC' and during the contest I created my personal favourite Brickfilm. Or you could enter just to bag the prize easier

I hope it's decided then
I wouldn't mind having no price either.
Voted for month-long contest. It starts about the time I'll be finishing up my DAD entry and also becuase it's 8 days before school starts.
The September contest sounds good to me.
