Topic: Test Montage #1: Fight Scenes

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OckYhuaxIIs
After making the Assassin's Lego episode IV , I wanted to do some fight scenes and action. So I decided to do a 'Test Montage'. I know it's not one of my best animations. I've also included the final test and other tests. Enjoy it!

Re: Test Montage #1: Fight Scenes

Nice animation, just be careful when doing black and white. It makes the light flicker(if there is any) even more noticeable. The light flicker in this video was mild, but still just a tip for the future. mini/smile   DP

Re: Test Montage #1: Fight Scenes

Thanks for you reply, what can I do to avoid this light flicking?

First I will need to know what programs you use. Picture capture, editing, etc.     DP

All the fight sequences need to be much much faster to make it believable, there needs to be a bit more anticipation in the movement also.

DProduction, not true.
Tu animacion mejora de video en video, pero el echo (no me acuerdo si es con o sin "h") de repetir algunas partes de animacion me molesta un poquito. Tambien el "masking" puede ser mejorado. Pero el resto no esta nada mal mini/wink .

For picture capture: iStopMotion.
For editing: iMovie
For music GarageBand
I use a webcam: Logitech C300

OK, lo tendré en cuenta para animaciones futuras. *Se escribe 'hecho'. ¿Hablas español?

Re: Test Montage #1: Fight Scenes

Ok. Well in iStopMotion, I'm not familiar with it so, is there an option to manually control exposure and gain? If so click the manual button, you don't have to adjust it or anything, but with automatic gain and exposure, it reconfigures them according to certain light sources etc. Something like that, Also, try to reduce all natural light sources, that's one of the more obvious ones. And also in iMovie, there is probably a colour corrector effect, that way you can digitally match the light, that's a last resort though, . Hope that helps, if you don't understand you can ask me to re-explain. mini/smile DP

Re: Test Montage #1: Fight Scenes

Si porque mis padres son de Argentina, pero yo naci en Italia y generalmente escribo poco en español.

I actually don't have youtube, I might get one, but as of right now my Vimeo account name is, DProductions. I have a couple videos 2 of them newer. The rest are old junk that I made years ago.  mini/smile  DP
