My entry into the Avant-Garde contest. A lot of people said it is very confusing, but I hope it is understandable.

The problem isn't that it's too confusing; it's more that it's too cliché and obvious. It's a nice idea, but too simple in a way.

Re: BiM 2010: Sdrawkcab

I must agree it is a cliché. Its a shame, because if there was a stronger story, this could have been REALLY good.

The way the story was told was good. Its simple, but interesting. The technical aspects were not the best, there were several set bumps, the lighting wasn't anything of note, nor was the cinematography as a whole, but the animation was OK.

The audio wasn't anything much either. I applaud you for making the music yourself, but what music there was didn't fit the mood or the situation at all. I would have expected something more orchestral rather than acoustic guitar....it just feels wrong. The audio quality and volume of the narration/monologue (which was quite well written despite its cliché) varied throughout, and there were little to no sound effects - though this is understandable due to the 'no copyright' rule, and is relevant as having sound would have distracted from the monologue....so I dont know why I am complaining....

Oh, and the title isn't really that subtle....sorry....

Overall, its OK. It would have been excellent if the story was a little more original. The way it was told was surprisingly good, but just a few things that probably could have been easily sorted out let it down.

I thought the music was pretty good.

I DID think it was good, but it just didn't fit the mood or what was going on. Maybe its just because I haven't watched many movies in this genre....
