Dane Cook Gets Squished by a Falling Piano

We decided that we wanted to test out using widescreen, filming at 15 frames-per-second, and fiming at a highter resolution, so we decided to make a short animation using all these techniques. The result was our very own "Dane Cook Gets" animation, as well as our very first film in Youtube HD! Please tell us if you think this animation was an improvement over our previous animations.

That was pretty good mini/smile I can't really say if the animation has improved because I haven't seen any other films from you, but I thought it was good, and so was the quality. And I love the design of the piano mini/delirium A very enjoyable little short mini/wink Nice job!

Some notes.
The head turning was a little rough. There wasn't any fluidity, it just turned at a constant rate, and then stopped.
Also, your timing of the Wilhelm scream was a little early. If you want to use it, wait until he's half-squished by the piano. Or use a different scream.

I'd say your animation has improved. I just think the head turn was a little choppy, but the piano fall was done very well. Nice piano design too, it's very neat. mini/bigsmile

Personally I enjoyed this. I would have preferred it if it had been about 10 seconds longer, but I guess most Dane Cook shorts are only about 30 Seconds long. The animation it's self didn't really seem different to your other stuff though, that's the main problem. That being said I liked the idea, mainly because it's an obvious idea, yet nobody but you guys thought of it (Great job on the Piano, too! Looks cool).

Overall this is pretty average.

Well it's really hard to get a high rating on a "Dane Cook Gets" film. I'm afraid you didn't succeed.
The idea with getting "Squished by a Falling Piano" was pretty funny. The animation has improved to this film, though it's not perfect.
Personally,I think it wasn't worth the time watching. It would if it was the first "Dane Cook Gets" video I watched, but they are just not funny after watching 17 of them.
Out of 5 I rate it 2.

Man, you guys are hard to please... the "Dane Cook Gets" videos ARE simple and short which is why I expect the BuilderBrothers made one in order to try out their new widescreen/HD format.  I, personally, am TIRED of Dane Cook jokes, but the film itself (especially the piano) was well-done and should be judged as if it were the only Dane Cook video out there (and I wish it was *sigh*).

This was a successful test and an good Dane Cook video.  I agree with Brick7 except for the last part.  I am not tired of the Dane Cook jokes because I haven't seen that many (maybe that just means that I have to search back when people used to make more of them).  Anyway, in the Dane Cook aspect, I suppose it could have had a little more animation.  The HD tryout, it looks good.  I expect you will probably make your future films in HD now?  Also, the piano looks good.  Please post instructions when you have the time.

A good test, the widescreen works nicely, and the piano(as everyone else said) is lovely. I would work a bit on the animation if I were you, but I'm one to talk. mini/lol

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Yeah, I think the fun in the Dane Cook series is finding strange, original ways of hurting/killing him.  Killed by a wise Indian chieftain.  Slapped with a fish.  Sacrificed to the Sun gods.  So a really standard gag like this isn't quite as much fun.
