I guess you could say I've come up with the next challenge. Make me something that showcases color in every sense. Make my sight sensors go on overload by creatively displaying the colors of the rainbow or showing a characteristic of a particular color!
Please, no tutorial rip-offs. ![]()
Deadline: Wednesday, August 4th

Oh, shoot, I completely forgot. Hmmmm.....how about Wednesday, August 4th?
Here's my entry:
It's the only idea I had.
This video is a quick 2.5D test using an image of michael Jordan, using only Photoshop CS3 and Apple Motion.
I'll enter. Idk what to do yet
EDIT: Ok, I'm kinda disappointed at the entries so for... No offense to anyone, but I was hoping for the entries to be a little more creative. Or maybe I'm interpreting the theme incorrectly... I don't know. Here's mine: (I made mine using no stocks whatsoever.
)

Feedback?

I thought RealBrick's entry was a great interpretation. If anything, I thought yours wasn't too great though. There's a planet that just has some rainbow-ish glare to it, and the rest of it was just black. It's a nice image (albeit having a bit of empty room in it), but it just doesn't seem to fit the theme and more than all the other ones that just show random color and patterns.

I understand what you are saying, but all Realbrick's is, is basically a bunch of stocks put together; so technically his wasn't creative at all. I didn't use one stock whatsoever.
Yoder, how in the world are photos that use stocks uncreative. Your entry is a planet in a dark corner. Now explain how a planet that happens to glow is more creative than a faucet drawn to life pouring some fluid that multicolored things come out of is creative. Or are you seeing creativity as how hard you can make things on yourself to produce an image that says pretty much nothing.

All I'm saying (besides the picture) is that you basically showed no talent at all in your entry. Almost anyone can take a bunch of stocks, cut them out, rotate and resize them, and then make em fade out of something. I was hoping more from you. And I wouldn't be talking; your entry sucks anyways. It was completely boring and stupid. The items didn't go together either. I'm not sure what a piece of paper with a stick figure on it represents color in every sence.
EDIT: Give it up for 12,000 viewS!!

And your entry is obviously better because while followed the theme and my entry has a technical flaw, yours is better because it is what I first interpreted as a red LED light in a dark room. I mean, yeah, your entry follows the theme simply because it is not in black and white, but who needs a contest theme when your entry can be "custom made" And when you said:
Almost anyone can take a bunch of stocks, cut them out, rotate and resize them, and then make em fade out of something.
yeah, but I think anyone can play with the stretch tool, and use the render sphere option. But we all know using filter presets to make a boring image is more creative than cutting out pictures from the internet to make a picture. I mean, that's all I did. Right? I mean, it isn't like I used the opacity tool or used brushes, and I most certainly did not use gradients, so it is obvious I played scrap book, and didn't blend layers.
