If I had a budget of around £240 (or even around £100) and had nothing, I would do the following (apart from buying Leggos):

Just the basics (spending all of the £100):
- Buy a Logitech Quickcam 9000 Pro (that's right, LegoDudez, within minutes).
- Buy a few good lamps: desk lamps or some versatile overhead lamps.
If you're on a bigger budget, I would also buy:
- Some awesome-o editing software.
- A microphone (only if you plan to do voice recording or audio foley recording yourself).
- A big desk (if you don't have one yet).
- Candy.

Also, I'd keep some money in case I need to buy some specific LEGO parts or sets or for when one of my light bulbs goes out.

Now, the Quickcam 9000 Pro. It is capable of shooting at an image resolution of 1600x1200, which won't give you 1080p widescreen HD, but is a lot better than 720p HD. You might want to watch some of KG's newer films for some examples of what it is capable of. For capturing frames, I would recommend the free AnimatorDV Simple (taking frames) combined with the also free VirtualDub (converting to video) or, if you have a bigger budget, one of the more advanced AnimatorDV versions though make sure to don't buy an advanced version with features you'll never use.

What capture program?

I need this by tomorrow, otherwise I'm getting the 9000.

The new Logitech? I think you'll be the first to use it in a brickfilm, so all the weight of reviewing it for stop-motion purposes will be on you   .
It looks like a nice camera with an 8MP sensor. But it looks like with the new stand that it will be really, actually almost impossible to make a steady LEGO cradle. By the looks of it the stand is just two solid straight pieces hinged in about the middle (if you lay the stand flat).
