This seems like the place to have photos critiqued and stuff, so here's two images I modified in Gimp last week. What do you guys think?
This one reminds me of anime or a Mortal Kombat energy bolt thing.
I'm not terribly happy about how the flames came out on this one, but I don't think it's too bad for a first attempt.

Your Signature is great Yoder, Your avatar bugs me though, too slow a transition from transparent to color perhaps.

1st Place (Second Entry)
Rea Brick - The Gimp work was great, I laughed at the idea and you followed the rules exactly. I bet you, that it would cost £1000 for the full version, then once used you could upgrade for only £100! 
2nd Place
TDog186 - You obviously worked hard on this entry, made completely from scratch but next time, work on the perspective more, it's a bit out of place.
3rd Place
UniLego - You used stock images, but the perspective and overlay look was the one that worked with the real feel of it being on a can. You were the only person to try this, but next time work on the actual work.
Honorable Mention
Yoder - Not too interesting, but it looked quite realistic. Less stock next time!

Personally, I think Yoder should have gotten 2nd place. But what do I know?

Hey Digital artists, this is another Photo manipulation Challenge!
Theme]
The theme for this challenge is:
Ultimate Desktop
For this challenge, I want you to create The Ultimate Desktop for your computer. You may use stock images or you can do it all from scratch, but it must be a true masterpiece for you.
Prizes]
First place will receive:
A Gimp or Photoshop splash screen
A Brush featuring the Gimp or Photoshop Logo
A signature displaying their work
Second place will receive:
A Brush featuring the Gimp or Photoshop Logo
A signature displaying their work
