Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

that guy needs to go shopping for new clothes.

I would put in something a bit more exciting, the buildings are well constructed, but dull. Maybe the iWash add or a Lego movie star image.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yeah, thatnks for reminding me of that. I was going to sneak in the logo of my friend's YouTube account and some adverts. I probably would have forgotten that mini/tongue

The funny thing is, I've been working my ass off on this so far and it's only for something like a 30 second short.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Besides great set design, the lighting in that shot looks fantastic. Can't wait to see the film!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

That´s built quite great. The only thing I can think of is the question how you are going to animate it.

I see one problem, the sand grains.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

sands too big?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

No. they will move around in the animation.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Isn't there a way to glue the sand? (against a piece of paper, not against the lego)

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

oh done a test, it really doesn't move that much. and when it does, it looks like its twinkling!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Hey again,

So I was originally going to buy this:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Erdbeereis/Misc/Reviews/Stolen-Treasure/review_stolen_treasure_018.jpg

But I think I need something a little bigger, so today I made this:

http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab3/mobiledeli89/IMG_4218.jpg

I don't like it - it's too... I don't know... square and stuff...

The main thing is that two people can sit COMFORTABLY in front, while another sits in the back.

I NEED HELP!!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I definitely agree that it's too boxy. I don't like how the cargo area is skinnier than the cab, either.

You might want to try to get a hold of Yanzl. The guy is a vehicle-designing genius (see his posts in this thread). Timothy R's also quite good.
