Topic: Motorbike scene

Awesomeness

So, what do you think? Pretty snazzy huh? All feedback would be greatly appreciated!
btw, my animation is a bit rusty. Haven't animated for about 4 months.

Re: Motorbike scene

well, I think the shot would look better if the studs were moving.

Re: Motorbike scene

Meh...

The wheels need to spin, and you need a backdrop.

Re: Motorbike scene

I could find 1 good thing. It was short.

Re: Motorbike scene

Ludvig, what do you mean? I wish it'd be longer. I don't think moving studs are necessary. I just didn't liked the clay attached at the weel, and, like Brickyman said, the weels need to spin. I really liked it.

Re: Motorbike scene

Pretty good. I think it would look better if the camera move a little. Maybe make it appear bumpy or follow the subject.

English: What do you mean? Please explain a bit more. What was it you didn't like?

Swedish: Va fan?

EDIT:

Fixed typo and swedish curse.

Re: Motorbike scene

Studs and wheels needed to move, because without that it was too obvious that it was the background moving and not the bike. A little camera movement would have helped, too, as Aquamorph suggested. It was much better than Ludvig's giving you credit for, but it did need some work.

And swearing is still swearing, even if it's in a language most of us have to use Google Translate to understand. Yeah, his comment was pretty inflammatory, but still...

Re: Motorbike scene

I do agree that moving studs would make it better, but that would require me to move the camera too, right? Is there any tutorial for that kind of thing?

Wheels moving would be really easy to do, and the only reason to why I didn't do that is because I was lazy. The blue tac on the wheels is a bad joke from me, but you would have to watch the full movie to know that, so I can see why it looks odd.

Re: Motorbike scene

Glad to see you're animating again.

I don't have much to add to everyone elses comments.

Re: Motorbike scene

Okay, I said it wrong.
What I meant to say was that I disliked it, it felt like you didn't put any time into it (witch I'm sure you did). Maybe it was because of the missing background or that the wheels didn't move, I don't know.
I just expect more from you that's all. mini/smile

This is a clip from a series in which I don't use sets. Many people dislikes that, but many likes it aswell so I'll keep it like that.

I agree about moving wheels, and it is definitely something I will do at a later time.

Re: Motorbike scene

I love doing scenes like this. Try moving the wheels.

Not necessarily.  Try shifting the base back and forth between shots.

At the first scene here, I moved the baseplate back and forth to simulate movement.  In your case, you can shift back and forth half a stud.
